Job Description

The Global IT Asset Management Team is part of Visa's Technology Management organization. Accurate and timely IT Asset Management (ITAM) enables key corporate priorities by controlling costs, enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating security & financial risks. ITAM objectives include: tracking and managing IT assets (hardware) throughout their life cycle, ensuring logical and consistent operational processes are defined and standard systems are implemented to acquire and maintain IT assets, ensuring accurate and complete asset information is available to supply financial reporting, enhance business decision-making, improve time-to-market, manage asset-related liabilities and risks, & improve customer service and responsiveness, and establishing a foundation for services including Information Security, Configuration Management, Inventory Management, Release, Incident, Change and Problem Management, Service Costing, Compliance Management, Budgeting and Forecasting.

JOB SCOPE

Support the Global IT Asset Management function with respect to cost, control, compliance, and business objectives to continuous improvement and best practices in the Asset Management program. 

  • Support development and execution of core team services including data access, gathering, interpretation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Gather requirements and develop reports for internal customers. As part of the vendor scorecard process, facilitates and participates regularly in meetings and discussions between the vendor and appropriate System and/or customer resources.
  • Develop, implement, and refine hardware asset management policies, processes and procedures. Contribute to hardware process improvements and automation.
  • Execute Policy and Process in support of ITAM Program goals. Promote the IT Asset Management program and assist in setting program goals.
  • Take an active role in achieving operational effectiveness.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for projects and audits.

    -        Experience presenting to senior leadership

    -        Strong customer service and follow through skills.

    -        Knowledge of the information system environment, including computer hardware.

    -        Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, Tableau, Fileshare, SharePoint, Ariba, iProcurment

    -         Demonstrated ability to manage tasks/projects to required deadlines

    -        Advanced Excel skills. (VLOOKUPS, PIVOT TABLES)

    -        Advanced interpersonal skills

    -        Ability to work effectively with internal contacts and vendors

    -        Strong communication and presentation skills.

    -        Demonstrated leadership skills

    -        Detail-oriented, proactive and highly organized

    -        Takes initiative and able to work independently

    -        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    -        Effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation

    -        Demonstrated the ability to work with a diverse team

    -        Experience managing large Data Centers and DCIM initiatives – local and globally

    -        Superior technical aptitude

  •  

    -        5+ years’ experience in an IT and asset management role

    -        3+ years’ experience with UAPM Asset Management tool set or other Asset Management systems.

    -        IAITAM Certifications – CAMP, CHAMP, CITAD preferred

    -        3 to 5 years of experience in an analytical role; experience working with IT hardware preferred

    -        Experience managing large Data Centers and DCIM initiatives – local and globally

    -        Superior technical aptitude

  • Experience with RFID systems (Passive and Active) or similar automated tracking system.

  • Education Required: Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related major
  • Experience in conducting hardware vendor audits and negotiations on behalf of a hardware vendor or for a 'Big 4' firm.
  • Knowledge of the information system environment, including both hardware and software. Understanding of key physical & virtual open systems and mainframe hardware data attributes (processors, cores, LPARs, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of VMware Virtual Center, Microsoft SCCM, BDNA Discover, BDNA Normalize, Flexera FlexNet Manager Platform, and Active Directory, as well as Unix/Windows Operating systems and networking.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills � ability to work effectively with internal contacts and vendors.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
