Job Description

The Senior Director on the Loyalty and Commerce team will have responsibility for leading business development efforts across Visa’s loyalty products. He/she will become fully aware of Visa’s existing products and emerging capabilities in order to proactively lead conversations with potential clients, be adept at negotiating business terms, and coordinate with internal partners to set up for successful client onboarding.  To be successful, this individual will work in close collaboration across the entire Visa organization to serve Visa’s traditional and non-traditional clients.  Visa is looking for individuals that are business development leaders with a proven record of success with offers and loyalty products in fast-paced environments and demanding timelines. 
 

The role is based in Foster City, CA, and it could include up to 20% of time travelling.


The selected candidate will report will report to the Vice President, Loyalty, and will have significant exposure to key leaders across the Visa organization. 

  • Lead go-to-market strategy and business development efforts with traditional and non-traditional Visa clients to maximize benefits we provide through existing and potential loyalty products, specifically focusing on card-linked services and programs designed to drive consumer engagement
  • Drive business term negotiation and contract development with potential clients
  • Guide development and ongoing enhancement of necessary client-facing materials
  • Coordinate efforts with the team’s resources focused on Product, Implementation, Account Management, and Operations to facilitate successful client delivery and growth
  • Collaborate with Visa Legal, Privacy, Finance, Account Executives, and other key internal stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Possess significant functional knowledge of loyalty and card-linked offers industry
  • A self-starter that thrives on solutioning for clients, and has the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in loyalty product and business development
  • Advanced communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
  • Strong business acumen – ability to influence strategy while driving tactical program delivery
  • High proficiency in delivering sales materials (e.g. PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with web service integrations and complex implementations
  • Creativity and resourcefulness to overcome unexpected roadblocks
  • Visa and financial/payment industry knowledge
  • B.A./B.S. from top-tier university
