Job Description

Visa’s Global Business Continuity (GBC) seeks a proficient, high caliber Metrics and Reporting Analyst to provide GBC Leadership with an accurate, consistent, and comprehensive view of GBC performance and forward thinking insights. The Analyst has a keen eye for detail and vision, implements it in logical, repeatable, and scalable quantitative analysis that produces meaningful data to tell the GBC story and status: it informs, improves and initiates business decision-making.  

The successful Analyst effectively utilizes skills in: analytics; critical thinking; relationship development and management with stakeholders; and project management.

Global Business Continuity protects corporate assets from significant business interruptions by optimizing risk management and building operational resilience. The Global Business Continuity organization consists of three departments: Crisis Management, Business Continuity Management, and IT Disaster Recovery.

Description

  • Partnering with GBC Leadership and working directly with Governance & Reporting: develops, implements, presents, maintains, and communicates Global Business Continuity metrics and reporting methodology, process, tool, dashboard and reports
  • Owns the success of delivering key metrics that provides an end-to-end view of program performance and results
  • Designs, documents, maintains and communicates metrics process and procedures; continually looks for ways to optimize for efficiency, accuracy, and completeness
  • Teams up with management regularly to understand program deliverables, correlates into reporting opportunities, and elevates metrics delivery accordingly
  • Collaborates with GBC Leadership for the ideation of, and owns the development, maintenance, and enhancement of both dynamic and static metrics repositories/tools for metrics collection and tracking; manages the integration and simplification of disparate data sources  
  • Dialogues with leadership to understand and deliver targeted metrics for reporting for a variety of purposes, vehicles, and audiences: GBC Leadership; GBC teams; Audit, Governance, Risk and related oversight committees; various regulators; and other third party entities
  • Cultivates and maintains the utmost level of data quality and integrity using recognized preventive and corrective quality assurance practices and data cleansing discipline
  • Collaborates with program, functional, and technical management to facilitate responses to data collection needs and reporting requirements, planned and ad hoc

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business or technology field required (preferred areas of study: data science, and 2+ years’ experience in data analytics and visualization preferred
  • Exceptional knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel analytics, e.g., advanced formulas, pivots, arrays, multiple lookup criteria, data sheet performance optimization best practices, etc.
  • Good practical working knowledge of database creation and management e.g., SQL
  • Ability to visualize and reliably produce meaningful visualizations from metrics data; good working knowledge of reporting software, e.g. Tableau
  • Applied knowledge of relational databases
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Office 365 suite
  • Demonstrated progressive analytical and problem solving skills  
  • Skilled at data management - summarizing, packaging, and presenting data to assist senior management
  • Adept with managing and coordinating complex cross-organizational projects and processes with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and indirect influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of individuals at various organizational levels
  • Are a team player, collaborative, diplomatic, flexible, high level of personal initiative, curious, creative, gritty
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing, and high pressured environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Understanding of business continuity good practice guidelines and business continuity planning software is a plus
