Job Description

Position Summary

The Director, Affluent Marketing will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Affluent marketing strategies to deliver against Visa’s business objectives, leading all aspects of marketing planning and elevating the efficiency of marketing initiatives. As part of the Canada Marketing team, the Director will report to the Senior Director, Consumer Credit and Sponsorships.

This position requires a results-oriented, highly motivated, hands-on leader who can thrive in a matrixed environment. The role will interface with clients and internal Visa product, sales, and innovation teams so a strong team orientation and excellent interpersonal skills are critical.  The ideal candidate will be analytical, have a thorough knowledge of digital marketing, and have experience managing agencies.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of marketing programs to advance the Visa Affluent business in Canada

  • Manage agency partners to execute integrated marketing programs and communications

  • Own the Visa Infinite budget and lead cross-channel implementation of marketing initiatives in support of Affluent priorities

  • Manage the measurement, analysis and reporting of marketing program performance and its impact on business results and Visa brand health

  • Support marketing planning processes in collaboration with Canada Marketing Planning and Strategy lead, Finance and agency partners

  • Develop and communicate strategic insights tied to the Affluent business in a compelling way to internal stakeholders and external partners

  • Establish collaborative working relationships with key functional partners including Product, Merchant Marketing, Sales, Visa Consulting & Analytics and Corporate Communications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required / MBA an asset

  • Strong strategic marketing background with at least 7 years of experience delivering measurable business results

  • Experience in leading development of multi-channel marketing programs

  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor applied to a wide variety of marketing problems

  • Previous experience working in financial services or working with financial institutions and  management/marketing consulting or agency experience a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders to deliver accurate and on-time project deliverables

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility with cross functional stakeholders without direct authority

  • Experience running performance marketing campaigns including search, display, programmatic and digital experiences

  • Superior understanding of digital ecosystems including website and CRM management

  • Experience with Google Audience Center, Adobe Experience Manager, Marketo and Jira project management tools an asset
