The successful candidate will be a member of the worldwide Network Processing Test Engineer team, responsible for delivering quality services and solutions using best-in-class processes, methodologies, and technologies. 

As a Software Test Engineer Intern based in Singapore, you will bring a strong understanding of test engineering and development principles, as well as teamwork skills, to assure quality in a fast-paced and highly complex environment. This position will oversee and contribute to test processes and execution for a number of projects, often running in parallel. The candidate must embrace teamwork and promote a culture of openness and flexibility with his/her business partners and the extended team.

Responsibilities:

• Work with engineers in developing Performance & Automation Scenarios and scripts, manage test artifacts and deliverable
• Assist with designing and implementing best-fit framework and tools
• Promote continuous improvement around processes and technical capabilities
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts and ensure delivery of quality test artifacts
• Ensure that testing and test activities comply with corporate policies and adhere to industry best practices
• Understand cross-functional dependencies and collaborate with other teams / functions to meet end-to-end quality objectives
• Responsible for tactical day to day execution including scheduling, test planning, execution, and risk management.

What do we look for in a Polytechnic Trainee?

• Student currently pursuing a Diploma in Information Technology or relevant technical discipline
• Strong knowledge in Java and/or scripting language
• Basic knowledge in test automation
• Good understanding of software development, test engineering processes and methodologies
• Good understanding of Build tools like GIT
• Good knowledge of database query tools and ability to write and run basic queries for data validation
• Problem-solver and able to generate creative solutions for test challenges and constraints
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player and possesses great interpersonal skills

The Polytechnic Traineeship Program runs from March 2019 to July/August 2019
