Job Description
Sr. Staff Software Engineer is for an automation
engineer who will join Visa’s Next Generation Operation Products team
responsible for developing complex automations & design, implement,
maintain automation software for key applications used by Visa’s Operations
& Infrastructure team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for solving complex problems
and taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. The candidate
will serve as a technical specialist and work independently with guidance only
in the most complex situations. They must also have a
demonstrated history of thinking creatively, with a solution oriented, can-do,
mindset.
Responsibilities:
Help our customers achieve their real goals by understanding their requirements and business needs
Engagement on technical issues and concepts across multiple organization levels internal and external to Visa.
Lead and Self Manage projects and tasks
Willingness to learn quickly and pickup new skills to develop solutions for complex automations
Independent decision making capability within established guidelines
Demonstrate team work attitude, ready to initiate collaboration and resolve conflicts
Working independently, yet seamlessly integrate and manage diverse groups and functions organized within different organizational reporting lines
Qualifications
Qualifications
Masters in computer Science with 5 years of
experience or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science with 10 years of experienceDemonstrated experience with process or workflow
automation software (e.g. Resolve / HPOO / BAO / Activiti etc.)Demonstrated experience with writing scripts in Python/Perl/Ruby/Bash/PowerShell.
Experience with REST, SOAP, JSON and XML is
helpful.Experience with programming languages like Java,
C# (.Net), JavaScript, Python/Ruby etcKnowledge of software development life cycle
required
Good to have/ plus
ITSM Process experience (e.g. Change Management,
Incident Management etc.)Working experience with ITSM Tools (e.g. Service
Now, BMC Remedy etc.)Previous use of GIT or Subversion for code
management and versioning.Development of RESTful APIs, a huge plus.
Linux familiarity and experience working in a
shell environment.Familiarity with Network, Systems and
Infrastructure Management concepts, for example FCAPS model is good to have.ITIL
and project management certification a plus
