Job Description

Support elements of global interchange compliance, pricing strategy development and refinement, including opportunity identification and change planning, including systems readiness, communication planning and compliance monitoring.

The Pricing Analyst of Global Interchange Compliance will support the development of monitoring activity tools, including business case and stakeholder impact assessment around proposed new fees/services and/or rate modifications, as well as post-implementation compliance monitoring. Work closely with the Director of Global Interchange Compliance and cross-functional and cross-regional project teams to solve corporate business problems. Use Visa´s transactional databases to support a broad set of quantitative and qualitative issues, and synthesize this information from large datasets. Support streams on projects related to Visa Inc.’s interchange compliance, interchange strategy and/or broader corporate initiatives, including collaborating with business lines across Regional and Functional areas.

The Pricing Analyst, Global Interchange Compliance will also support the high-level maintenance and enhancement of internal interchange compliance and reporting tools, including 30Tb+ Hadoop database and 15Tb+ SQL server database, and 3-Tier applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field

  • 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a financial analyst-related occupation.

  • 1-2 years of experience using macros to simulate interchange criteria and compare against actual data to account for potential issues

  • 2-years of experience using Visual Basic/Python, or similar programming methodology to effectively maintain, and enhance custom 3-tier applications

  • Macros experience, including developing automated ways to find and size potential compliance issues and  evaluating millions of data elements on multiple dimensions through macros on a daily basis

  • Experience in SQL server database management and monitoring, including maintaining interchange’s internal 10Tb SQL server’s daily data loads and serving as a liaison between the business and the technical teams to continuously monitor and improve server performance

  • Large data loads aggregation via DTSX packages

  • Using SQL to support analysis and ad hoc reporting for compliance and strategic purposes from large data sets

  • Using SQL to avoid server performance degradation while generating custom reporting based on individual needs for specific projects in multiple platforms such as SQL server or Hadoop
