Job Description
Visa is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to drive software development and integrations for our enterprise data center systems. This role is responsible for the design, development, configuration, deployment, and integration of our critical data center software systems. The candidate will work as part of the Global Data Center Engineering & Operations (DCE&O) team to support and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our technology & operations organization.
The position will require close collaboration with Hardware Engineering, Network Engineering, Facilities Engineering and Command Center operations to provide critical planning, analytical, and monitoring capabilities across our global data center footprint.

The Data Center Engineering & Operations team collaborates with all key stakeholders to support business goals and objectives while ensuring 100% availability of data center infrastructure.
Some of Your Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality solutions for the Enterprise Data Center Operational environment
Analyze and review business, functional, and technical requirements
Assess operational opportunities to increase service quality or efficiency.
Coordinate resources to drive delivery on commitments.
Manage multiple work streams, projects, and stakeholders at once
Developing process and policies to help solidify a fast-moving, predictable delivery schedule
Drive meetings with stakeholders to better understand project goals and requirements
Evaluate and implement new technologies for team adoption
Coordinate development team(s) to align resources, resolve technical issues and report status
Collaborate with business partners on user acceptance testing
Lead project team meetings and communicate effectively with peers, business analysts, technical project managers, and across other technology team boundaries, reporting project status as required
Work closely with various IT and business stakeholders to drive and/or facilitate development of requirements, specifications, and use cases for assigned projects
Recommend and develop integration standards, guidelines and best practices
Collaborate with product vendors and systems integrators on delivery of solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field is required
10+ years software engineering experience; or Masters with 7+ years experience
Demonstrated proficiency in multiple programming languages; C#, Java, SQL, etc
Knowledge of functional testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing
Solid process orientation and exhibited planning, organizational and problem solving skills
Proven experience architecting and delivering global, large-scale applications; overseeing architecture, development and integration; and aligning complex business problems to appropriate technology solutions.
Exceptional customer service orientation, with a deep-rooted drive to deliver best in class user experiences.
Ability to drive change and inspire teams, leading by example
Superior oral and written communication skills and proven experience interfacing with all levels across the company
High-level of self-motivation with demonstrated track record of driving results within an agile and dynamic business environment
Experience in managing short and long term road maps, capability to predict resource requirements and set appropriate budgets
Ability to flex between being strategically minded and tactically hands-on
Experience with deploying customized software packages and API integrations
Data Center Management Experience including ITIL, ServiceNow, DCIM and ticketing workflows preferred
