Job Description

Overview:

This is a unique opportunity and calls for an ambitious, hard-working, highly analytical Finance professional. The payoff is that the candidate will have exposure to LAC Finance senior leadership and will participate in the analysis and preparation of key financial results and recommendations to be used by Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) Visa Executive Leadership. This Senior Financial Analyst position is key in support of measuring the success of our financial performance and providing management the ability to gauge the success of existing strategies and performance, and proactively address changing market conditions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work together with business and finance counterparties to support and maintain the regional forecast, multi-year plans, consolidations and reporting processes for Client Incentives
  • Review, analyze and forecast revenue drivers by Country, Client, Product, Pricing, impacts of Foreign Exchange rate fluctuations which require in-depth knowledge of the Visa Business
  • Drive forecast accuracy by performing regional forecast quality/sanity checks of the assumptions and outcomes provided by the business and finance counterparties
  • As Financial Business Partner (FBP) for some functions, responsibility for budgeting and forecasting coordination and inputs as well as for providing analysis of revenues variations against plan and forecast using various statistical, trend, seasonality and business logic and ad-hoc analysis as required
  • Ensure financial data accuracy, integrity and consistency of information and reports as well as organized documentation of results and data sources used
  • Contribute to continuous enhancements of financial reports to increase the value add to senior management as well as process simplification
  • Drive discussions and resolution of reporting/forecasting issues by working with regional and country business and finance counterparties
  • Support production of monthly reports, corporate deliverables and ad-hoc analysis for the incentives and supported businesses

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field
  • Excellent business acumen
  • At least 5 years of relevant financial analysis work experience
  • Experience/exposure to multiple Latin American and Caribbean countries and macro environments
  • Demonstrated program leadership capabilities to drive key financial processes
  • Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate results with senior level executives
  • Outstanding modeling, analytical and quantitative skills; able to identify and model challenging  business problems with well-structured analyses and quantifiable financial impact
  • Exceptional report modeling and data management skills with the ability to work with large amounts of data and organize in a logical and efficient manner
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and produce and coordinate time sensitive deliverables
  • Attention to detail and keen sense for accuracy are extremely critical
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Accounting and analytical/analysis skills
  • Knowledge of financial systems (TM1, Hyperion, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, and Hyperion, and strong skills in PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, Portuguese a plus
