Job Description

Position Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for increasing Visa’s net revenue from directly managed clients, as well as leading a team of Business Development Leaders to drive sustainable net-revenue growth for both Visa and their client portfolios. Commercial acumen and and a technical understanding of Visa’s is required along with demonstrated ability to drive strategic objectives to closure.

Job Scope

  • Execute short and long-term strategic plans for clients aligned to Visa’s SA market strategy
  • Develop and execute a set of objectives and goals for assigned clients to increase Visa and client’s sales volume and therefore revenue
  • Understand and articulate how Visa’s new payment tools and technologies will drive commercial value to our clients
  • Follow global industry and local market trends, bringing insight and value to our clients
  • Identify, size and close new business opportunities by analyzing clients’ market positioning, product profile and strategy, enabling Visa’s functional teams to customise relevant solutions to fit identified needs
  • Foster client-centric collaboration across Visa functional teams to ensure effective delivery of relevant payment solutions rather than individual payment products

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree preferred with focus on IT, Engineering or similar technical field, OR with focus on financial management, strategy, accounting.

Experience Required

  • 4+ years of professional experience in retail or transactional banking. Direct card experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and simply
  • Ability to demonstrate sound business judgment with long-term view
  • Analytical skills (ability to derive insight from data)
  • Account management, project management, and strategic planning skills.
