Job Description

This operations support role reports to the Senior Director, Controllership to assist the Sales, Marketing, Products, Acceptance, Consulting and other functional staff to manage and control medium-scale projects for clients and cardholders to drive Visa sustainable profitable growth.  In addition, this role supports the country teams with corporate events, marketing or produce campaigns, purchase of goods and services from third part suppliers, following established policies and procedures

KEY AREAS

Execute routine transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Learn internal policies and procedures to be an expert for business functions.

Manage pipeline tracker for the team including updates and periodical reporting

• Execute low, medium and high risk transactions:
 Value-In-Kind requests initiation, facilitation and follow up
 Purchase Requisitions (PR) requests and facilitation
 Suppliers and clients’ contracts reviews
 Supplier set up in business applications
 Supplier risk assessment form set up and facilitation
 Registration of events in the corporate system
 Review the documents on goods/services acceptance and ensure payments in line with contract,
 Suppliers’ payment facilitation and reconciliation,
 Local payment and local contract review and facilitation,

Support in reconciliations of local and corporate accounting data
 Other transactions.

• Participate in quarterly control assessments for other aspects of the business.
• Monitor low and medium risk transaction execution by other personnel.
• Provide advisory to business function on policies and procedures.
• Provide training for personnel on policies, procedures, processes, tools, templates.
• Collaborate with controlling functions (legal, compliance, sourcing) to monitor deviations from policies and procedures; participate in remediation of operational risk and compliance-related issues.
• Report of all incidents or non-compliance; participate in remediation of internal audit or other compliance issues.
• Coordinate with policy owners to schedule training sessions.
• Streamline internal processes to help business functions in doing their projects.
• Lead new applications and new processes implementation for local markets

Customize training materials to ensure relevance to local operations.
• Participate in detective controls and projects/programs monitoring under guidance received
• Apply Visa leadership principles at work

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

1. Transaction processing and control:
Proactively cooperate with project managers to ensure:

implementation of projects according to requests in time;
payments are initiated only based on contracts approved and according to actual services/goods delivery.
provide project closure in time; with no delays; policies and procedures are followed as required

Key measure: Control environment rating based on reports from continuous control monitoring team and other control monitoring activities; Effective for the year

2. Process streamlining and simplification
Proactively cooperate with Visa Team in order to simplify processes to support business. Working within Tools and Processes group created based on Employees engagement survey in order to simplify/improve key areas identified.
Support implementation of new tools, if required.

Key measure:  get increase in tools and processes section of of the Employee engagement survey compering with prior year survey results

 

 

Qualifications

Professional
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Minimum 5 years of experience in any function with documentary routines in corporate business
• Understanding of procurement and marketing preferred
• Project management experience and data analytics experience preferred
• Strong understanding of risks and controls
