Job Description

The Cross-Border Analyst will be responsible for executing a set of responsibilities aimed at growing Cross-Border in the LAC Region. The Cross-Border Analyst will play a key role in multi-functional alignment for Cross-border initiatives, and best practice/learnings sharing. In addition, the Cross-Border Analyst will support implementation of Cross-Border initiatives across LAC markets and will provide business intelligence for the team. This role will report directly to the Vice President Market Development LAC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Cross-border initiatives from planning, execution and monitoring, to results measurement, ensuring a successful implementation.
  • Gather and analyze cross-border third-party data (government, other industries, competitors etc.), to contrast and complement Visa-data-based analysis and dashboards.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis on findings and opportunities resulting from monitoring cross-border data. 
  • Work with internal teams to build solid and measurable Cross-border initiatives and business cases.
  • Develop and monitor Cross-border profitability models for issuers and acquirers to identify key areas of opportunity.
  • Responsible for implementation and management of existing and future partnerships with Cross-border enablers.
  • Ensure a coordinated execution of Cross-border both issuing and acquiring campaign/initiatives, across internal teams.
  • Recommend and develop campaign mechanics for regional and/or issuers initiatives.
  • Become the liaison with internal teams providing Cross-border data and results, to ensure alignment and consistent measurement methodologies and tools.
  • Perform budget management across Cross-border initiatives in coordination with internal teams

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years proven and progressive analytic experience or equivalent preferred in Customer, Product, and Marketing analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required in business, statistics, economics, finance, information systems or operation research field.
  • Financial Industry experience preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required, Portuguese a plus.
  • Excellent quantitative & analytical skills, including, database marketing, plus knowledge of analytical methodologies for optimizing and evaluating analytic solutions.
  • Proven problem solving, planning, project management and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, develop insights and recommend business strategy changes with associated financial benefits.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal & written.
