Job Description

Endpoint Operations supports the Visa-developed software running on Visa-owned compute infrastructure - ensuring the reliability, availability and security of consumer digital commerce. This infrastrucure provides our FI/Clients connecting to Transaction Processing services their first electronic contact with Visa. When the server is located at the Client site Endpoint Operations also deals with provisioning lifecycle and maintenance of the appliances.

As our Senior Staff Systems Engineer for the PPMS team you will be responsible for coordinating Operations’ activities to implement systems to support Visa consumers, tokenization and cloud based payment offerings. We are looking for self-motivated stars who are passionate about system stability and uptime and who will adopt best practices to minimize operational incidents with process and procedure reviews and support for continual integration/deployment.

  • Must be able to coordinate and manage input from business and technology stakeholders across the enterprise and be responsible for representing Endpoint Operations’ perspective for technology initiatives
  • Be an escalation contact for the other two teams within Endpoint Operations, GEOSUPP and GEOIMAC, the support desk and installation management teams
  • Provides guidance and mentoring of other team members in an effort to add the lead’s experience and knowledge to the other team members’ understanding and competence
  • Supporting Endpoint Operations’ Applications in a mixed centralized/decentralized environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other Technology field with emphasis in IT or equivalent proven experience
  • Ten (10) years’ experience working in IT/Network Operations’ Support and/or IT Development/QA
  • Capable of conversing with both Technical and Business management and staff and of interpreting between the two sides
  • Two (2) years project or program management experience
  • Understanding of message switching applications, System Admin (RHCSA/CE), Strong JCL and Connect Direct/Application Support
  • Understand XML, JASN and XSLT
  • Shell Scripting
  • HTML, Programming  or Scripting Language
  • Encryption Security Technology like SSL and IPSEC
