Job Description

The Software Test Engineer is responsible for supporting the QA environment, ensuring maximum up time from an application perspective.  This individual contributor role will work on medium to high complexity issues. 

Specific Responsibilities include: 

  • Incident management for QA environment/application issues

  • Reducing down-time for QA/Development staff through monitoring and self-healing of application servers.

  • Managing data streaming services (Golden Gate: GGS). 

  • Develop/Maintain automation framework

  • Support the automated CI/CD pipeline.

  • Break-fix development.

  • Supporting QA Clearing and Settlement streams.

  • Building Automated test scripts.

  • Identify and drive process improvements. 

  • Work cross organizationally for prompt and effective problem solving.   

  • Cultivate, support and promote an organizational culture that provides for high performance, high morale, integrity and teamwork. 

Qualifications

 

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree from an accredited university. 

  • 3-5 Years of experience with SQL Server, stored procedures. 

  • 3-5 Years of experience using Java, C#, ASP.NET 4.0 and the .Net framework. 

  • 3-5 Years of experience on Windows/Linux/Unix 

  • 3-5 Years of experience in defining remote communication methodologies such as web services,WCF, MQ, and Rest. 

  • Understanding of SOA principles and Web Services technologies: REST & SOAP. 

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 

  • Experience with application containers Windows IIS. 

  • Experience with Payment and/or Credit Card processing. 

  • Experience with build environment using Maven/Jenkins and continuous integration tools.

  • Experience with tools like JIRA, SharePoint, wiki, etc
