Job Description

The Senior Director, Small Business Growth & Execution, will be responsible for leading initiatives that enhance and/or expand distribution of existing Visa capabilities across the region with a specific focus on large, middle-market segment solutions. This will also include identifying and implementing key solutions in partnership with key players (Tech titans/Fintechs etc.) that may be highly complex, strategic and cross-functional in nature. This role requires an experienced business development professional who can identify potential deals, develop the tactics and coordinate the teams needed to bring them to fruition. The successful candidate will have international experience working in the financial services industry with knowledge of the small business payments landscape, competitive dynamics, global market players, and business models. The role will report to the VP, Head of Business Solutions C.E.M.E.A and is based in Dubai, U.A.E.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10-15 years’ experience with related business development and product management experience in financial technology and/or payments industry; specific small business segment experience preferred

  • Past or current work experience with a minimum of 4-6 years in Commercial Cards/Transaction Banking Solutions preferred

  • A global mindset with demonstrated success aligning stakeholders in multiple countries

  • Proven record of implementing strategic initiatives, policies and operational decisions

  • Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and closing a complex, competitive sales effort and managing deals from negotiation, to closing and through delivery

  • Teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills, and ability to lead by influence and example

  • Experience “managing up”, building Executive Level communications and delivering presentations

  • Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and to influence senior management and other relevant parties

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/Master’s is a plus

  • Executive presence; Strong written and oral communication, including large-group presentations

Responsibilities

  • Manage a key set of strategic initiatives designed to grow Visa’s regional market share in the large, middle-market business segment

  • Work with cross-functional internal teams in multiple geographies in C.E.M.E.A and Global LMM product teams to expand or deploy necessary functionality, address barriers and secure funding needed to advance key initiatives

  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities for Visa capabilities through a strong understanding of the large segment and customer's needs, leveraging Visa solutions across our platforms

  • Continuously review regional market landscape, identifying developing partnership opportunities that will position Visa as the market leader

  • The focus is on expanding Core payment flows, identifying and capturing new payment flows (key industry verticals, non-card solutions etc.)

  • Develop and execute customized partner account strategies, objectives and plans to increase revenue and market share for select accounts across CEMEA region

  • Lead the account and relationship management plan for these accounts, ensuring that each party’s business objectives are met as appropriate

  • Work with internal teams (GCM’s and VBS in-country leads/teams) to ensure partner implementations are on track and delivering against plan

  • Provide input into product roadmaps with an emphasis on enhancements that can drive partner and therefore Visa performance

  • Establish Market and Client Presence via Industry events, execution of strategic priorities to accelerate payment volumes growth and expansion into 15 countries
