Job Description

The Head of Global Affluent Strategy & Benefits is responsible for the global strategy, coordination and build-out of benefits for Visa cardholders in conjunction with regional teams. This is a senior level position that requires thought leadership with a practical eye on impact, strong collaboration across Visa regional and functional teams, partner/vendor evaluation and ongoing executive interaction. The position is based in San Francisco.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Build a long-term strategy for global Visa cardholder benefits for key consumer segments (e.g., affluent) through a combination of market research, competitive analysis, build/partner analyses and cross-functional alignment/prioritization of actions
  • Identify opportunities to improve Visa’s suite of global benefits to align with customer needs 
  • Work closely with sourcing to identify and drive cost saving opportunities
  • Identify new benefits to bring to market and work with partners/vendors to drive execution
  • Work closely with regional teams to identify benefits for both local and global delivery based on market needs. Drive execution through partner/vendor conversations.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years’ experience with at least 10+ years’ experience in management consulting and / or product strategy.
  • Has superior strategic, analytic and problem solving skills, and is capable of clearly communicating a long-term vision across the company and clients.
  • Is integrated into the payments products industry, stays current on competitive and market trends, and brings those insights to inform Product strategy
  • Natural collaborator, with excellent communication skills and strong executive presence. Must be disciplined and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and capability to interact and influence across multiple levels and a global matrixed organization
  • Exhibit relevant and consistent leadership behaviors in team management, customer communications and internal interactions with peers, senior management, clients and third party vendors.
  • Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate multiple complex cross-functional projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
  • Experience leading a global team is desirable, as is an advanced understanding of banking and payment card systems and processes.
