Job Description

Visa Business Solutions (VBS) drives strategy, product development, platform management and sales for Commercial/B2B solutions.  VBS serves small, middle market, and large multinational companies and the public sector.  VBS also has a partnership team dedicated to working with Fintech’s that can help amplify the capabilities Visa brings to issuers and their corporate clients.

 

With a focus on strong product management discipline, we are looking to drive growth our Core Commercial Card products (T&E, Purchasing Card, Virtual Cards) and innovation across VBS by leveraging other Visa assets (e.g. Visa Direct, Prepaid) and by building new market leading solutions such as B2B Connect.

 

VBS is looking for a driven, self-motivated Associate Manager to support both the COO for VBS and the SVP of Strategy for VBS.  The Associate Manager will help set GBS organization-wide strategy, drive reporting and analytics required to manage our business, support tactical marketing and communications initiatives, and gather and synthesize information on Visa’s competitive position in the marketplace.    By playing a central role in strategically refining our processes and operations, this person will be critical to VBS’ growth.

 

In supporting SVP of Strategy, the Associate Manager will support research on opportunities to launch products/solutions to capture new markets.  He or she will help gather and synthesize competitive insights, and will work to communicate VBS’ strategy.  

 

In supporting the COO, the Associate Manager will be central to all reporting needed to provide the insight required for us to make decisions that drive top line and bottom line business growth;  he/she will be front and center in interpreting data to understand what it means for VBS and from that what actions need to be taken.  He/she will support strategic marketing and communications initiatives to secure Visa’s position as market leader. He/she will help create materials for industry conferences, AE/sales conversations, and presentations to company execs/operating committee.

 

This position will bring a high level of visibility to and engagement with senior leadership within VBS and Visa.   VBS is a key growth driver for Visa.  This role will also entail ensuring we are effectively collaborating with products and functions across the Visa to maximize the value Visa brings to our small, medium and large business clients.

Qualifications

 

  • Analysis of complex business situations and creating presentations to support VBS recommendations for senior executives: this could include

    • Opportunities for vertical penetration

    • Market share analysis

    • Engagement with finance and business scorecard

  • Central role in ongoing reporting required to manage VBS

  • Leadership role in VBS engagement with marketing and communications to support focus on increasing external awareness of Visa as a leader in Business Solutions; this could include

    • Driving approach to and engagement at key conferences

    • Working with marketing on key campaigns for VBS

    • Partnering with communications to ensure effective media presence for product launches

  • Supporting the development of internal training and working with Visa U to create a robust Business Solutions training curriculum

  • Central role in ongoing reporting required to manage VBS

 

 

The Associate Manager should be comfortable in ambiguous situations, willing to adapt his/her working style and priorities as needed. He or she should have a global, forward-looking mindset, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication skills. The role requires cross-functional collaboration and a proactive mindset, thinking of which team(s) will be involved in a project and keeping them informed as needed.
