Visa opened its SingaporeInnovation Lab in 2016; a showcase center that helps Visa to demonstrate the
art of the possible for clients and partners. You will be working side by side
with our Innovation & Strategic Partnerships team who are a global client
facing organization that sets Visa’s public innovation agenda, develops
commercial partnerships with industry leading brands and platform providers,
and promotes hands on incubation and rapid prototyping.

The Visa Innovation Lab is looking for a technologist who can
apply great ideas in code. You will design and develop apps on a number of existing
and emerging platforms (mobile, chatbots, digital assistants, IoT, etc), as
well as integration using traditional full-stack technologies (node, Angular,
go, etc). We don’t expect an expert in all those, but someone with a variety of
skills, a strong technical mind and is eager to learn new technologies. You
will help envision and develop the next generation apps and provide it as a
reference to Visa partners. This is a challenging and exciting role and we want
a skilled individual who can bring both technical talent and a business vision
to the team.

You will work in an agile development environment, and may lead
small teams for some projects. We need someone excited by technology and eager
to keep yourself updated with the latest technologies as well as mentor junior
team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• 2+ year of work experience
• Expert level skills in Java / C# / C++ 
• In-depth knowledge of data structures implementation and optimization
• Expert level skills in multi-threading, concurrency, and error-handling
• Expert level skills in implementing design patterns (singleton, facade, factory, observer etc.)
• Experience building enterprise scale web services (RESTful), and their scalability, resiliency, and availability
• Experience building application frameworks or reusable components
• Experience in network programming (Sockets) to build service self-healing
• Experience implementing multiple cross cutting concerns and non-functional requirements using aspect oriented programming (viz. aspectJ) 
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, application design, and implementing large components for enterprise projects

Desired qualifications

• Experience in building ODATA compliant REST services
• Experience in language features such as lambda expressions, generics, and streams
• Experience in working on cryptography and Bluetooth based transmission protocols
• Experience in IoT, NFC, machine learning / data science, NLP
• Experience in payments tech industry
