Job Description

We are seeking a proactive finance professional to join the North America Financial Planning & Analysis team. Our team serves as a business partner for the North America Group Executive and provides finance support for a variety of underlying business functions within North America. This position involves heavy collaboration across all functions and product lines so the ability to learn quickly is a must. In addition, this individual will play a key role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting. The successful candidate will be comfortable preparing financial results and associated analytics for business partners and executives.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for providing financial planning and analysis broadly for Visa’s North America
    businesses as well as direct support for one or more of Visa’s Sales functions.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (i.e. executives and
    staff) and serves as a key point of contact for finance issues.

  • Acquires and maintains an understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues of the divisions supported.

  • Leads the coordination, organization and execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses for areas supported. Examples of activities include traditional budgeting and forecasting, month end close, enhanced financial/business reporting, business case development, pricing analysis, P&L generation
    and business planning support.

  • Provide support for North America consolidation activities and executive management reporting deliverables

  • While financial analysis will clearly be an important element of the role, the emphasis is on applying overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued business partner.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates well-developed strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Collaborates easily and successfully with all levels of management in a matrix organization structure.

  • Operates with minimal supervision and is able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions   independently.

  • Able to multitask and prioritize in an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and
    customer service-oriented.

  • Intellectually curious with a particular interest in the rapidly evolving payment
    industry landscape.

  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills and strong attention to detail; able to perform financial modeling and analysis with rigor and accuracy to quantify impact of investments and explain viability of new business models

  • B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or Finance, with 2 to 3 years of business experience with a  financial/analytical/consultative focus with progressively increasing responsibility.

  • Able to contribute new ideas and find solutions to business challenges.

  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting, month end close and process development.

  • Expertise in MS Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

  • Additional experience with a complex financial system (e.g. Hyperion) preferred
