Client Support Services (CSS) provides industry-leading operational support to Visa’s clients around the world. With our deep knowledge and expertise, we are a key internal partner to product and technology, bringing the voice of the customer into the design, development and successful deployment of Visa products and services. In addition to supporting client implementation of Visa products and services globally, CSS is also responsible for a host of critical services that support the broader Visa organization and clients, including: Visa Rules management, cardholder disputes, compliance, client testing and configuration, and client tools. Job Description

Position Summary

This is a Director position for our Business Solutions Implementation team. This is a new position supporting Visa’s new B2B Connect cross-border business payment technology. This is an opportunity to contribute to a new initiative that promises to deliver meaningful financial results to the company. 

Job Scope

As a Director, you will be part of the Business Solutions Implementation team requiring a high level of interaction and collaboration with business and technical leaders across the company.  The role will focus on designing, building, and defining the implementation model for the new B2B Connect cross border payment technology solution. This role is responsible for directing complex implementation management and business leadership (plan, direct, coordinate and lead activities, etc.). This role serves as a subject matter specialist, works independently, and provides direction to Visa clients and their partners.

B2B Connect will provide a variety of implementation options from API integration to batch file processing. As such, it is highly desirable for this candidate to have familiarity with SFTP and similar connectivity as well as experience with API implementations.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter that can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. Must have an in-depth understanding of global transaction banking as well as the broader commercial payments industry and trends. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in cash management or treasury management.

Responsibilities

  • Define the structure for how Visa clients and/or their 3rd Party Provider will integrate with B2B Connect.
  • Be an advisor to the Product, Platform and Partnerships teams for how to best onboard new clients in order to facilitate the optimal client experience.
  • Lead complex and multi-layer implementations for Visa clients to ensure expectations are exceeded using Project Management Methodology best practices and skills.
  • Consult with clients and provide technical expertise to structure an effective implementation. 
  • Liaise, build and enhance relationships with Visa clients and various Visa teams (Product, Platforms, Development, Operations, and Account Management).
  • Maintain effective communication with all affected parties and stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor progress, client feedback, provide status updates, and project milestones to the project team, senior management, the client, and banking partners, via weekly or other progress reporting, and by managing status meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project plans with risk/mitigation plans and issue logs to enhance external and internal communications.
  • Create and maintain necessary internal and external implementation documentation and forms.
  • As a subject matter expert, acquire and maintain a deep understanding of supported services to train clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and implement recommendations to increase service quality and/or efficiency. 
  • Responsible for own workflow assignments and must be able to take the initiative to resolve issues and meet deadlines. 
  • Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues related to Visa’s goals.
  • Collaborate with the broader cross-functional team to develop, evolve and own the business operating rules around this new service.

Secondary Job Responsibilities

The candidate must collaborate easily and successfully with all levels of management in a matrix organization structure.  Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are required as cross-functional activities must be completed during this process. Must demonstrate well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Operates with minimal supervision and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Business, Finance or Computer Science preferred
  • 7+ years experience leading complex B2B product management in the financial service industry (cash management, treasury, transaction banking experience is ideal) 
  • Ability to work constructively in a cross-functional initiative-based governance structure and lead large, cross-functional teams
  • Experience with financial payments via file or SFTP
  • Experience in supporting APIs for financial transactions
  • Effectiveness of communication/interactions with internal cross-functional teams, senior management, third party providers, and clients. Strong ability to work with both external business facing individuals as well as technically focused individuals to achieve results.
  • Ability to advocate for the business and present to executive leadership both within Visa and to clients.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, organize, manage, and implement complex projects with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills. Must be comfortable and engaging to lead product demonstrations and speak to technical material with ease. 
  • Needs to be able to effectively prioritize and multi-task under deadlines, influence others, and manage client expectations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using standard MS Office tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.).
  • Excellent business ethics is required and the successful candidate will have experience and demonstrated success in the above listed core competencies.
