Job Description

Execute short and long-term strategic plans for VISA Latin America & Caribbean Multinational clients. Execute a set of objectives and goals for assigned clients to increase Client's Visa sales volume, profitability and provide dynamic and proactive product support and customer service. Identify new business opportunities, analyzing Clients’ profiles with the purpose of offering adequate products and services and increasing their business volume with Visa. Work with Clients on ways to maximize profitability by offering advice on the development of target markets, product development, advertising, marketing and product mix.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Development and implementation of strategies to achieve business goals set for multinational clients across LAC
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency and shared objectives; ensure that cross-functional teams are aligned and educated about clients’ and business partners’ environment
  • Develop, maintain and cultivate close relationships with decision-makers and management of assigned clients and partner companies and foster successful partnership with Visa

  • Have solid understanding of client views on development of banking and financial services industry; understand clients’ strategies, priorities, needs and business processes

  • Work with local account executives to structure multi-year partnership programs with clients; support negotiations with Multinational clients for regional deals

  • Present strategic ideas and share Visa’s views on industry developments and dynamics and advise client on how Visa products can positively impact their results

  • Understand and influence product positioning and pricing of Visa and competitors’ products in clients’ product portfolios

  • Evaluate competitive actions in the marketplace, recommend and direct counteractions when appropriate

Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified with 6-8 years progressive experience in sales, business development, product, or equivalent combination of education and experience; post-graduate degree preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Payments industry or consumer banking experience (i.e., strong knowledge of banking consumer business - marketing, branches, consumer loans, operations, systems)
  • International banking experience in either retail banking or the bankcard business
  • Consulting skills and client engagement capabilities
  • Sales profile and credible demeanor, with the ability to quickly become knowledgeable of Visa products and services
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Commercial acumen and solid business judgment
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with inter-disciplinary groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
