Job Description

Visa’s Global Business Continuity organization is searching for an experienced Business Continuity leader to join the organization in the role of Senior Director.

As a global technology payments brand that connects merchants, banks and consumers, it is important that Visa is resilient through its preparedness and effective response to disasters and business disruptions. Global Business Continuity protects corporate assets through effective continuity risk management, building operational resilience.

The position requires regular off-business hour availability and travel.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Director of Business Continuity Management leads a team of +5 professionals and is responsible for providing global oversight of the Business Continuity Management and Recovery Capability Alignment program. The position requires applied experience in a unique combination of varying subject matter fields including: Operational Resilience in the FinTech industry for multi-national corporations; Regulatory and Executive Stakeholder Relationship Management; and Data Analytics; The ideal candidate is a proven Resilience Professional and Technologist

Key responsibilities include:

·       Manage, lead, collaborate, and mentor +5 resources in a team based environment

·       Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional partnering groups

·       Understand and manage the Business Continuity landscape for financial services and technology companies as it relates to regulatory oversight and best industry practices including:  Federal Financial Institution Examinations Council (FFIEC), Bank of England (BoE), Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), and, Business Continuity Institute (BCI)

·       Maturation of Business Continuity programs including strategy, policy, and procedures

·       Implementation according to program requirements including Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plan Development, Exercise, Critical Service Provider due diligence, and technology gap analysis.

·       Monitor and assess the effectiveness and maturity of the Business Continuity programs to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. This includes working extensively with large and complex data sets in Excel, using advanced formulas and analysis

·       Provide oversight to maintaining Visa’s organizational business continuity hierarchy and supporting data in the organizational planning tool

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree encouraged in Business, Technology, and Organizational Resilience. Preferred studies include Business Administration, Business Continuity Management, Management Information Systems, and Computer Science

·       CBCP certification required; MBCP encouraged

·       A minimum of five years of relevant and proven business continuity experience

·       Strong track record of collaboration and teamwork beyond direct-line reporting

·       Demonstrated proficiency in Office 365 suite, Tableau, business continuity planning software, and emergency management notification systems

·       Conceptual understanding of complex data relationship management

·       Applied experience in strategy development and implementation of automated workflows leveraging technology

·       Ability to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing, and high pressured environment

·       Strong interpersonal and indirect influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of individuals at various organizational levels

·       High level of personal initiative, creativity and self-motivation

·       Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
