Job Description

  • Provide leadership to Solution Design teams in AP region and ensuring the team meets all service level agreements and team objectives.
  • Establish standards for the design, architecture and scalable disaster recovery plans across multiple applications and services.
  • Provide guidance to team members to ensure we adhere to SLAs and improve overall availability of our applications.
  • Lead critical platform infrastructure engineering efforts in analyzing and translating business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives
  • Oversee and review optimal, high level designs team produces
  • Lead and establish system requirements, designs/architecture and manage critical infrastructure deliverables while driving Technology Standards
  • Lead Continuous Availability programs and initiatives for specific platforms to strengthen resiliency and recovery capabilities to 5'9s
  • Analyze the current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for continuous improvement such as improving business processes, expanding capacity, reducing cost and increasing effectiveness
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Ensure documentation all solution architecture design and analysis work
  • Interface with internal IT management leadership, technical leadership and external requestors as a strategic value-add point to improve IT for completeness, consistency, availability, satisfaction, and to deliver quality services
  • Utilize data-driven approaches and methodologies to reduce IT process gaps and enhance process effectiveness through automation
  • Monitor the processes, policies, procedures and standards applicability, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ability to review complex processes, manage customer service and provide regular technical reports both verbal and statistical showing status of ongoing projects and goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing medium to large teams to design & deliver infrastructure to large scale enterprise applications
• Experience in managing SLA goal and RTO/RPO objectives large enterprise applications with stringent
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong automation mindset.
• Strong Software Engineering background is required with a good understanding in multi-tier enterprise architecture.
• Strong Understanding of Infrastructure components like Systems, Virtual Machines, Database, Middleware, Storage etc.
• Hands-on experience with application development/application support/performance tuning in Java, Microstrategy, Oracle, DB2 and UNIX platform
• Knowledge of monitoring tools, alert escalation, customer management etc.
• Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate the logic and implementation plan to team members & managers.
• Bachelor Degree with minimum 12+ years of experience in Operations/Infrastructure/Software Development
Additional:
• Good Presentation Skill
• ITIL certification desired
• .NET experience is a plus
• Understanding of Big Data Technologies (Map Reduce framework, Pig, Hive, Hbase) and Hadoop administration is a plus
