Job Description

Position Summary:

As a Sr. Product Manager, you will be part of the Back Office Solutions team, within the Global Product organization responsible for managing product development and solution delivery for Visa’s dispute processing platform Visa Resolve Online (VROL).  The candidate will support global API implementation/integrations, as well as, define, document and maintain detailed business requirements and use cases for the VROL product.  The role requires a high level of interaction and collaboration with business and technical resources across the company, including client support services, risk, legal, technology and operations.

A successful candidate will be highly adaptable, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and able to effectively manage multiple work streams. The ideal candidate for this position will have more than three years of technical product and/or program management experience with an ability to think tactically as well as strategically.  The candidate must have a background working in an agile environment and with API’s. Understanding of the VROL product and the dispute resolution process is helpful.

 

Job Scope:

  • Technical product management functions including functional specs, roadmap, project management, issue/risk management, and cross-division coordination
  • Extensive cross-organization collaboration playing a crucial role in interfacing with various technology teams and business stakeholders to identify requirements, converting them to functional specs, prioritizing, and driving execution using agile methodologies
  • Work closely with the Architects & Engineers and contribute to the development of design artifacts and Quality Assurance test plans
  • Plan and conduct User Acceptance Testing with key stakeholders
  • Support and lead client implementation engagements
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in technical product and program management
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Fluent in discussions about API design, SDKs, and developer tools
  • Proven track record of shipping product in time
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in working with agile lifecycle and/or tracking and process management tools, e.g. Rally, JIRA

Qualifications

 

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in technical product and/or program management

  • Educational background in Computer Science/Engineering preferred

  • Technical product management functions including functional specs, roadmap, project management, issue/risk management, and cross-division coordination

  • Extensive cross-organization collaboration playing a crucial role in interfacing with various technology teams and business stakeholders to identify requirements, converting them to functional specs, prioritizing, and driving execution using agile methodologies

  • Strong analytical and technical skills

  • Fluent in discussions about API design, SDKs, and developer tools

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work on projects across teams and ensure project deadlines are met

  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively across functional areas to build consensus and achieve goals

  • A high, self-defined standard of excellence and drive for continual improvement

  • An affinity for payments technology and its future. Deep curiosity about what is happening, and what is happening next in the industry

  • Ability to interpret data and translate findings into strategic insights and actionable recommendations

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
