Job Description

Last year, we created the Content Center of Excellence, whose mission is to connect and evolve our capabilities across a variety of content-focused disciplines. This role is part of that organization and is focused on optimizing and modernizing our production processes for Marketing+Communications at Visa.

We produce a wide variety of assets across a wide variety of geographies, using a wide variety of methods. There are many opportunities for The Senior Director of Production Operations will work to drive efficiency and quality into our processes. They will recommend changes and assist Marketers, Communicators, and Agencies in the adoption of those changes across the globe.

We are looking for someone with deep expertise in production of marketing and communications assets to lead this function globally for Visa.

Note: this is not a traditional Producer role. It is more similar to a Consultant or Operations role, but focused on Production. The person in this role will not be directly be producing content assets themselves.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit current production processes with an eye towards efficiency improvements (both cost and time).

  • Connect regularly with international leads to understand local needs and nuances of processes (10% travel required)

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement.

  • “Sell” the solutions – get stakeholders to understand the benefits and buy into the approach

  • Assist markets with rollout of solutions. Iron out kinks on the fly.

  • Facilitate usage of our new DAM solution. Liaise between creators and product people to ensure that DAM is optimized for users.

  • Partner with Sourcing to identify and understand available 3rd party capabilities (production consultants, tools, etc.).

  • Educate regional and local Marketers/Communicators to up-level expertise on the areas of production that matter most.

Qualifications

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic team player! ideally you have a well rounded skill set and backgound that includes: 

  • 15+ years of experience working in an advertising and/or digital production function. Client and agency experience preferred.

  • Exceptional understanding of production processes on agency and client side, ideally with large, complex, global clients.

  • Experience in retooling process and learning (both good and bad) from the results.

  • Expertise with enabling technologies (DAM, automated bidding, etc.) and passion for innovation.

  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to distill details into clear, simple recommendations.

  • Focused on results and proving success of specific initiatives.

  • Ability to distill benefits of new solutions based on audience.

  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to influence at senior-to-exec management level both internally and externally.

  • Willingness to offer thought leadership, to think creatively, and to offer new ways to approach old problems

  • Experience with SAG preferred (Visa is a SAG signatory)

  • Undergraduate degree required
