The global client support group works with locally deployed client service experts to develop and deliver the support model for Visa Inc. issuers, acquirers, processors and merchants worldwide. This includes day-to-day operations and product support, specialized help desks, back office support and customer performance reporting.

Job Description

As a Staff Test Engineer, you will be part of Merchant, Acquirer, issuer Processing Platform certification Team to test the ACQ and ISS hosts with Visa's systems, this role is also to enhance and build out new processes to speed up and measure the testing efforts. You will be part of teams tasked with multiple projects across DPS systems, including VROL, Falcon, Offline and Online.

Responsibilities:

We expect our Staff Test Engineer to do much more than certify client hosts.

  • Help our client to achieve their real goals by understanding the requirements and how it would help them in their business.

  • Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide analyses that are competitive and cost effective.

  • Lead efforts to design and automate various aspects of our global transaction

  • processing systems.

  •  Strong experience with the creation of all QA work products for their team\: Test Plans, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Test Cases, Metrics creation, Risk and Priority based testing analysis and test evidence collection

  • Design and implement automation tests based on the agreed-upon regression criteria for quality assurance of all aspects of the system (e.g. functional, security, performance, resilience etc.)

  • Build and test RESTful and SOAP Web Services

  • Ability to work with 3rdparty APIs to develop integration solutions

  • Strong knowledge of automation engineering and industry.

  • Working hands on knowledge in a CI, TDD or BDD environment as well as Waterfall

  • Serve as escalation point for more junior team members. Provide guidance to staff on all products and services supported by the department as well as non-routine, complex issues.

  • Provide day-to-day support to Client institutions including response to customer inquiries related to complex Visa core applications issues or questions and ensure customer expectations are exceeded.

  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex processing, application usage, or business issues.

  • Proactively identify and own issues through resolution working with business or development groups.

  • Comfortable in leading meeting and discussions with non-technical teams.

  • Understand customer needs, business requirements, and priorities. Develop solutions and recommendations based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 8 years' experience in a QA/development role in software, financial or information services.

  • Defines the quality space and roadmap to address it emphasizing development processes and testing.

  • Serves as a quality lead for large cross-functional, cross-organizational projects, helping to define the software development processes, and scoping the test requirements. Leads other analyst in gathering test requirements and creating quality test plans for large complex projects.

  • Proficiency with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to web-based software applications.

  • Must be a self-starter with proven abilities in organizational, conceptual, and logical problem solving.

  • Proficiency providing technical and consultative support to external customers and identify business needs.

  • Ability to manage assignments that are of diverse scope and complexity and require significant initiative and judgment.

  • At least 3 years of experience in Automated test driven development CI/CD

  • At least 3 years of experience with Agile Scrum methodologies

  • At least 3 years of experience with Testing tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, Protractor, Source Labs, or Rest Assured

  • At least 1 year of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Docker

  • At least 1 year of experience with RESTful API's
