Job Description

The VISA Marketing Systems Team is looking for a Staff SW Engineer with strong technical skills, with a complete understanding of the agile development process. This role is for developing and enhancing Visa.com website running on Adobe Experience Manager.  This role gives an opportunity to technically design and enhance the way Visa marketing site in built and integrated with other systems. The individual will design, develop and lead end to end DevOps team. To be a part of this team, you should have hands on experience with Java/J2EE, HTML, AJAX, CSS, and JavaScript and a passion for creating the best user experience. You should have strong knowledge of the overall software delivery lifecycle and activities and Standups, release and sprint planning, reviews, demos and retrospectives, ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, integration, and regression testing and Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement AEM framework from Plan, gather and analyze the requirements with business analyst team and also organize design discussion and infrastructure requirement analysis to meet the defined business criteria.
  • Design Architecture for infrastructure setup of production environment and implement web and application layers according to the VISA’s standard infrastructure framework
  • Design and develop web application using the AEM including the taxonomy of site structure.
  • Design and Develop authorable, reusable custom components, templates, content fragments, touch UI dialogs, content taxonomy, object model designs, OSGI component services to meet the requirements of the site page design and unit testing using AEM technical stack framework (Apache OAK, OSGI, Apache Sling)
  • Perform VISA standards cybersecurity checks, security reviews to identify and eliminate potential security vulnerabilities in the code and ensure coding standards are met.
  • Design and implement solutions for integration of AEM with VISA’s Active Directory to perform Single Sign on to the applications using VISA Online portal.
  • Perform maintenance activities like indexing and compaction to ensure maximum server availability when required
  • Administer user groups and design like create users and user groups and allocate required permissions.
  • Add site-wide data layers and component level data attributes for analytics tracking.

Qualifications

The VISA Marketing Systems Team is looking for a Staff SW Engineer with strong technical skills, with a complete understanding of the agile development process. You should have hands on experience with Java/J2EE, HTML, AJAX, CSS, and JavaScript and a passion for creating the best user experience. You should have strong knowledge of the overall software delivery lifecycle and activities and Standups, release and sprint planning, reviews, demos and retrospectives, ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, integration, and regression testing and Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies.

  • Overall 5+ years of experience in delivering technology solutions, web development experience working on Windows/Linux, Java platform with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and Spring frameworks.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
  • 4 years of Adobe AEM / CQ5 experience implementing full cycle Adobe AEM projects (AEM 6.0 and later required; AEM 6.2 is a plus)
  • Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of OOAD and software design patterns
  • Experience of testing at the unit, integration and system levels. Experience with jUnit and other testing frameworks in AEM.  
  • Experience in Java Content Repository (API) suite, Sling web framework and Apache Felix OSGi framework, DAM, Workflows 
  • Experience with data and site migration in AEM - specifically moving legacy web systems into AEM. Familiarity with Multi Site Manager (MSM), Language Copy, Dispatcher. 
  • Experience with communicating to different internal servers, databases from AEM, using both front-end (AJAX, cookies) and back-end technologies (Servlet, OSGI service, Sling, AngularJS).
  • Experience with other large scale WCM or CMS implementation a plus.
  • Experience of multithreaded software design
  • Ability to work quickly in an agile environment, part of an on-call rotation duty among other engineers.
  • Understanding in Test Driven Development
  • Experience in implementing  Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery pipeline. Working knowledge and experience in CI / CD tools like Jenkins, GIT
