Job Description
TEAM SUMMARY
The Visa Global SME Platforms business unit has overall responsibility for all aspects of global strategy, development and management for Visa Small Business platforms. The Global SME team is accountable for global interoperability of Small Business platforms; developing new solutions and technology support; and building alliances and solutions. The team sets and leads the platform vision for Visa’s Business platforms, platform requirements, the development of global strategy and roadmaps, and the implementation and ongoing operation of platforms supporting Visa’s small business payment products globally. The team works collaboratively with other business units within Visa including: Global SME Product, Global Services, Technology, LMM Platforms & Legal as well as region-focused product delivery and client delivery teams; ensuring alignment across Visa.
JOB SCOPE
The Sr. Director, Global Small BusinessPlatforms will be responsible for delivering and managing Visa Small Business Digital Platforms including (but not limited to) Small Business Payment Hub, Onboarding solution, and digital innovations. As key member of the Global SME team, this role will lead and focus on Global platform strategy, platform roadmap, and business requirements for new enhancements and new platform builds. In addition, the role involves working with the extended Visa Small Business Global and Regional teams to identify gaps and new requirements for deploying solutions to market that meet issuer and small business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for delivery and management of Visa Small Business Platforms
Evaluate existing and upcoming Visa solutions plus partners in areas such as bill payments, virtual cards, onboarding, credit scoring, tokenization, analytics and data services to determine applicability to small business and incorporate into platform plans
Responsible to execute on platform strategies to drive platform expansion goals for the Global SME line of business
Strategize with account executives and regional client delivery/product delivery teams to leverage customer interactions to identify new platform opportunities and enhancements
Aligns with product delivery and client delivery teams in Visa’s global regions to deliver best-in-class go-to-market for digital platforms
Develop and present business cases for new platform ideas.
Coordinates across all Visa regions to ensure global alignment of Visa’s Small Business platform strategy and to realize global efficiencies of scale by leveraging local capabilities globally
Work with internal stakeholders such as technology, risk, legal, rules and support services to enhance, deliver and manage platforms
Develop a deep expertise in all Visa Small Business products to demonstrate industry leadership (including market-driven knowledge)
Establish key performance metrics to measure platform success on ongoing basis and adapt roadmap to enhance platform effectiveness.
Work with Product Marketing to develop materials to educate and inform internal/external stakeholders of platform features and benefits.
Qualifications
Senior Leader with over 10 years of extensive experience delivering technology platforms, products and services with a demonstrated ability to translate client needs into business requirements preferably in Small Business or Commercial Card, or generalist experience in payments and/or the small business segment
Exceptional product management acumen and mindset
Demonstrated ability to grow market-leading, differentiated and innovative platforms through sound vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution
Knowledge of Small Business and Commercial payment trends, digital payment solutions and competitive landscape
Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-functional teams including technical and non-technical resources
Strong results-oriented leader; analytic and fact-based consultative discipline
Add value by insightful and thoughtful questioning, offering new ideas, and delivering solutions
Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
Ability to work with leading industry partners and negotiate effectively to achieve desired outcome
Able to work independently in a matrixed environment
MBA or equivalent work experience required
