Team Description -

Issuer Processing supports DPS’ success by deepening partnerships and delivering value-added services through Visa-owned assets in the U.S., and through third-party relationships outside of the U.S. Within this organization, the Client Systems team supports full life-cycle delivery and ongoing support of strategic technology initiatives  for the Sales and Customer Support Business organizations and the Client Systems Analytics team work on providing Analytical solutions for these Business units.

The Client systems Analytics team is looking for a candidate with a Software Engineering background who is passionate about Data. As part of the Data Engineering and Analytics team, you will be responsible in building data pipelines to efficiently and reliably move data across CRM and Contact Center systems and use Machine Learning and Visualization tools to enable democratization of data and data driven decision making.

As a Sr. Staff Software Engineer reporting to Director of Analytics under Client systems, it is expected that you have high attention to detail as well as contribute to Big Data Analytics best practices, quality and lead and mentor junior engineers in the team.

Responsibilities :

• Lead technology project delivery activities such as gathering Business requirements, come up with conceptual design approach and architecture, design, development, test case preparation, unit/integration test execution, support process documentation and production support
• Own engineering and operational excellence and implement corrective/preventative actions.
• Build Data pipeline solutions using Hive scripts, Sqoop, Pig, oozie, Spark and other utilities on Hadoop
• Build Advanced Analytics applications for Text Analytics, Fraud Analytics, Forecasting models, Recommendation engine, Operational execellence, Process improvements using Machine Learning with packaged or open source technologies
• Provide insights from data and present to IT and non-technical users to improve operations and productivity
• Partner with Product, Technology teams, Security, and Infrastructure on project delivery activities
• Adept in presenting and explaining Analytics to a non technical audience. 
• Manage end to end delivery of Data Analytics solutions
• Exposing Machine learning models by building APIs
• Own solution architecture, conduct Proof of concept(POC) and build prototypes based on business and technology requirements.
• Lead a team of data engineers, Business Intelligence and Data science/Machine learning engineers

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data science or related discipline

• Minimum 12 Years of experience in BI/ Analytics Tools with minimum 2 years of experience in Tableau/Power BI or equivalent BI tool and 5 years of experience in Big Data (Hadoop ecosystem) is required

• Proven experience in architecting, designing, developing and deploying BI solutions on Hadoop

• Proven experience in taking ownership and delivering projects, and team lead responsibilities

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Java/ Python/ Scala/ Unix scripting

• Proven experience in Big Data technologies is required, preferably Cloudera Hadoop, Hive, Sqoop, Spark, Flume

• Experience in implementing analytics projects handling huge volumes of data

• Experience in NLP, Data Mining, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, AI (Rapidminer, IBM, Microsoft, Spark ML, H20, R, Python) is required

• Operationalizing of Insights is nice to have

• Experience in data reconciliation between source and target systems
• Experience in RDBMS lilke Oracle, SQL Server is required
• Knowledge of NoSQL, Graph databases, Time Series is nice to have

• Expert in writing complex SQL queries
• Experience in Shell/ Python, Perl scripting, scheduling and version control technologies is required

• Strong follow-through, problem identification, analysis and solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to absorb, and understand new information, technologies and practices quickly
• Exceptional communication and customer facing skills, able to interact effectively with diverse groups of global stakeholders, both technical and business users
• Able to lead a team to deliver Analytical solutions and also take up scrum master activities
