What's it all about?

The world of vehicle fleet management is changing rapidly as new frictionless, connected car technologies and electronic vehicles begin to be a more common in Europe. This aim of this role is to support Visa clients in developing and launching fleet and fuel technologies to capture more transactions onto Visa Commercial products.

What we expect of you, day to day...

  • Be the driving force behind a new portfolio of fleet and fuel products that will enhance the Visa Purchasing, Corporate and SME segments. Be convincing and show commitment to the opportunity.
  • Be the lead SME in Visa Europe for this segment, and use those skills to lead the development and launch of new solutions in Europe, as well as working with key Clients to help them understand and target opportunities in their markets. Work with regional account executive teams to identify specific opportunities and support the sales effort as required.
  • Have a detailed understanding of all elements of the fleet and fuel markets, including products that are used by high volume transport companies as well as products for smaller users. Appreciate the complexities of the oil companies, their distribution models, and their fleet management products. In addition, be aware of the vehicle fleet leasing market and how this may create opportunities.
  • In addition, have an understanding of the new technologies that are transforming this sector, including frictionless and connected car technologies, and the future of electric fleet services.
  • Be responsible for the full product lifecycle of the products that support the fleet and fuel sector, including owning the P+L, service and implementation models, and vendor or partner relationships that are part of the product constructs.
  • As the lead SME, you will need to be highly visible in this sector, and well known to key participants. Representing Visa at meetings, conferences and forums will be a regular part of the role
  • Understand national and regional nuances on how fleet and fuel products are used, and reflect those in the products constructs.

Qualifications

What we're after...

The successful applicant will possess a substantial amount of product management or product development experience in a card network, bank, or fleet product provider. Ideally, the successful candidate will be well known to major commercial card issuers, oil companies, and fleet service providers.

  • An individual who has a good knowledge of the fleet and fuel sector, the existing services, who delivers those services, and how customers use them to manage their fleet and fuel costs. A knowledge of other relevant legislation would be useful
  • Strong financial, analytical, collaborative and product skills that align with managing major opportunities. Budgeting and P&L skills are also required.
  • Innovative thinking and solution design, and collaborative work will be required, including the supporting client incentive packages that deliver value. This will require close working with Processing, Acquiring, and other Visa teams.
  • Have credibility to negotiate with Clients, strong relationship skills to gain the confidence of clients, and the ability to establish open and transparent relationships.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are critical. Ideally, you will be comfortable representing Visa with our customers and in public forums, and reflecting the Visa values. One or more European languages is a plus. The ability to travel across Europe when required for internal and external meetings and pitches when required.
