Job Description

What's it all about?

Part of the Compensation & Benefit team, the succuessful candidate will manage the European Payroll Team, providing support guidance to the Payroll team, high level controls over the payroll, process improvements, ensures compliance with local tax legislation & consults with the broader reward & HR team on employee tax implications.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • You will be managing the team responsible for all European payrolls (3 FTE under direct supervision)
  • You will oversee the delivery of payroll activities as well as managing payroll execution performance indicators
  • Liaising with counterparts including finance to resolve accounting issues, reward team for new benefits, internal tax team & global payroll director to remain aligned with internal best practices & broader reward team
  • Performing monthly reviews of payroll input / output & supporting controls to ensure accuracy & reporting to head of reward & CFO
  • You will manage third party payroll vendor responsible for outsourced payroll calculations and funding of BAC's run
  • Working with internal partners, such as onboarding, HR IT & payroll team to streamline process & improve efficiency
  • Managing team workflow to ensure timely resolution of payroll queries
  • You will manage payroll set up in new countries
  • Liaising with pension providers and other third parties for payroll input / output
  • You will manage the relationship with HMRC for payroll related submissions
  • Manage both the STBV payroll and UK shadow payroll for UK inbound expatriates
  • Responsible for the consolidation of legacy Europe payrolls
  • Conduct vendor reviews for payroll supplier
  • Manage and adjust director remuneration according with legislation
  • Manage invoicing from various providers
  • Raise team efficiency, through process improvements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholder responsible for employee data in HR system of record (Workday)
  • Delivering priorities & communicating to team & external stakeholders
  • Ability to build consensus and pro actively manage risk

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of payroll processes and procedures on an end to end basis
  • Strong sense of risks & mitigating controls
  • Process orientation & accuracy are desired traits
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good interpersonal skills required to deal with personal and sensitive issues
  • Knowledge of data protection principles
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects to timely completion
  • Has worked in payroll across multiple country/regions. Europe preference
  • Has previously run a short term business visitor payroll
  • Previous experience of stock vesting processing across Europe
  • Understanding of workday is advantageous
  • Experience using payroll integrations between HR system and payroll
