Job Description

Key Responsibilities

-        Accountable for the end-to-end planning and execution of one or more projects and/or Agile teams. Lead and negotiate, scope, schedule, budget, risks, deployments and communications for projects and initiatives.

         Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solvingWork with product owner to promote and contribute to the improvement of the product backlog

·        Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution

·        Coach team in estimation techniques

·        Ability to shield the team from outside distractions and interferences

·        Ability to track and remove impediments for the team

·        Develop metrics and reports using Rally to help the team understand its health and progress and to set goals

·        Day-to-day accountability for tracking scope, schedule, budget, risks, deployments and communications for projects and initiatives

·        Initiates team process and technology improvements, shares learnings with peers and managers.

·        Persistently and creatively removes obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering against project objectives.

·        Supports our learning community, attending classes, meetups, and suggests new ideas or improvements.

·        Promotes teamwork; coaches project team members.

·        Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example

·        Hands-on experience with the day-to-day management of cross functional, global software development projects

·        May manage budget specific to Infrastructure for his/her project.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with other departments and varying levels of management
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to negotiate priorities across organizations is required
  • Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to independently drive projects through to completion
  • Meticulous follow-ups and follow-through of issues and actions to drive them to closure in a timely manner; Work closely with the Technical Development team to identify and communicate critical paths
  • Manage and effectively deliver features committed to for the Release Train
  • Partner with Product Owner in developing, maintaining and grooming Product Backlog
  • Good attention to details, ability to think analytically and independently
  • Facilitate Feature and Sprint Planning, Release Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Product Demos and Sprint Retrospectives; Remove impediments/blockers in order to keep teams productive
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and build schedules and plans; Identify and manage dependencies with other internal or external teams
  • SME Knowledge of project management principles and Agile development methodologies
