Job Description

The Director role is an additional position on the existing ATM Terminal Driving Product Management team within the DPS Debit Issuer Processing Services group.  The team is focused on defining industry-leading feature/functionality for the Visa Debit Processing ATM Terminal Driving Product set.

The Director, ATM Debit Processing will be responsible for developing new processing products and services for financial institutions using Visa’s Debit Processing Service (DPS).  This position will focus on products and services that utilize current and future Visa DPS delivery platforms including ATM, mainframe, midrange and Web based channels.  Required concentration is on Visa DPS ATM Terminal Driving products and services including Terminal Handler processing, browser based applications, Back-office, Settlement, and reporting systems. Specific emphasis will be initially concentrated on supporting the ATM tool set (Content Manager, Performance System, Terminal Totals Manager, Remote Deposit Capture) and other back office applications for ATM Terminal Driving. This position will also assist other team members with building out appropriate infrastructure to support ATM vendor specific projects and focus on new innovative features to support our business needs. The Director will have frequent interaction with clients and internal teams and is expected to contribute to the successful implementation and support of the product for DPS processing platforms. 

This position reports to the Sr. Director of DPS ATM Debit Processing Services and will be based at Visa’s offices in Highlands Ranch, CO. 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Define detailed business requirements and product specifications for both new products as well as enhancements to existing products.  Review detailed functional and technical designs to ensure product requirements are being met.  Matrix manage product development activities within the DPS application development, implementation, customer service, training, documentation, and QA/certification groups.

  • Collecting, developing, and analyzing multiple concurrent business requirements and transferring the same knowledge to product, development and other support teams by writing concept and scope documents, detailed business requirements, product specifications and web requirements for both new products and enhancements to existing products.

  • Provide SME support for existing and future products and services to both internal and external audiences.

  • Develop and deliver presentations to both external and internal audiences in Working Groups, webinars, and other venues regarding areas of product ownership.

  • Communicate with internal support and sales teams to educate, gather customer feedback, and resolve product issues.  Provide product support to assigned product lines by providing support to Client Services and the development teams on product issues.  Coordinate with other departments to ensure delivery of high quality products (service levels, support, training and education).

  • Collaborate and lead interactions with functional areas such as business development, account development, IT development and support, QA, customer service, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain documentation associated with assigned product lines including Service Descriptions, Product Profiles, RFP materials, and Implementation/Training Guides. 

The person filling this position will be responsible and accountable for leading the successful execution of new features and services on the Visa Debit Processing platform that drive client satisfaction, differentiate the Visa offering and drive Visa Debit Processing Service revenues.    

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Requires 10 years’ experience in product management or product development in the financial services industry, including prior experience developing and implementing product plans/requirements.

  • Requires 8+ years’ experience in ATM Terminal Driving processing.

  • Possess a solid understanding of the payments industry with emphasis on the ATM business.  Candidates would have a strong understanding of different payment types with a focus on ATM.

  • The candidate would be a skilled technical writer with experience in the design and construction of functional requirements for the third-party issuer processing industry.

  • Regional Network and ATM Back-Office/Settlement experience are a strong plus. 

  • Knowledge of or experience with Connex or Base2 4software is also preferred.  Specific focus on ATM terminal driving is a strong plus.

  • Negotiating skills, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to work creatively and independently with a high level of self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and demands often under time constraints.

  • Strong analytical, planning and project management experience with strong problem solving capabilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs and to build solutions to meet those needs.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels within the organization to accomplish Visa DPS business priorities.

  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
