Job Description

 

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with the leaders within our North America functions and serve as a key point of contact for all North America finance issues.
  • Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues of the North America functions.
  • Partner with the supporting functions to prepare & understand periodic forecasts for Income Statement. Ensures forecast appropriately reflects current trends & known discrete items.
  • Lead the coordination, organization and execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses for areas supported
  • Partner with finance business teams to understand and prepare commentary regarding variances, business drivers and influence forecasting assumptions.
  • Participate in the annual business plan for the North America sub-functions.
  • Actively seek opportunities to introduce new tools and improve analysis used for function communications.
  • Responsible for regional cost identification and regional reporting.
  • Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting requirements in accordance with deadlines

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • At least 7 years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility
  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a global team
  • Highly motivated team member who easily cultivates effective relationships with senior executives and staff both inside and outside the Finance organization
  • Ability to proactively recognize and resolve issues
  • Ability to appropriately facilitate a drive for action
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Experience providing analytical, cost reduction and business case analysis support to non-financial management, as well as budgeting, forecasting, expenditure and variance commentaries
  • Solid experience in a publicly traded/multi-national in nature environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in MS Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Understanding of performance measurement and reporting techniques
  • A critical aspect of this role is demonstrated experience and skill in managing relationships with senior-level executives and providing top-quality customer service (e.g., managerial role in a consulting firm)
  • Additional experience with a complex financial system (e.g., Oracle) is beneficial but not required
