Job Description

Purpose

This is an important role within the CEMEA HUB CR organization, supporting the Corporate Communications HUB team, specifically the operations and governance as well as compliance and administrative burden of the CEMEA communications team, the support of various communications campaigns (including client events, employee engagement events etc…) and managing employee volunteering and community support. He/she will actively contribute to the overall development of the CEMEA CR function and agenda.

 

Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Area

  • Lead CEMEA Communications Team to ensure that both hub and regional operations are aligned and met the compliance and internal processes and internal audit requirements.

  • Encourage/Proactively work with the teams on effective, timely and accurate discipline structure, terms and expectations.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Visa policies and be the first point of contact to the team on primal Tools&Processes, Policies, etc. Ensure proactive and consistent on-job and structural trainings/discussions for the teams on those Policies.

  • Initiate the changes in communications-led/driven policies to address any identified gaps, roadblocks to drive efficiencies.

  • Manage the documentation flow for the Hub team (NDAs, Work Statements, POs), support regional team on the annual frame contracts. Keep the contacts database accurate and up-to-date.

  • Work with CEMEA Communications Teams across the region and compile and manage internal reports, inquiries, lists, databases.

  • Manage and coordinate CEMEA team calls/meetings/QBRs.

  • Manage and coordinate the Charitable Contribution process for CEMEA working with the Global Social Impact team for processing, documentation, submission, status, reporting as necessary.

  • Work with the regional teams on new and existing relationships with key charity partners; ensure cross-regional and global alignment. Initiate the CEMEA-pan solutions.

  • Proactively lead sustainability awareness, agenda and practices in CEMEA. Initiate the Sustainability Working Group/Ambassadors. Develop the engagement programs for leadership team.

  • Proactively create and execute efficient and timely employee volunteering strategies that align to and support the D&I as well as the Visa Foundation priorities.

  • Lead and coordinate employee engagement events and volunteering activities in the Dubai HUB office and assist the sub-regions as the volunteer committee lead for CEMEA. Develop engagement programs for leadership team.

  • Manages volunteering budget effectively and pitch for funding for upcoming activities and creative ideas within key controls.

  • Build and implement communications plans for employee volunteering and deliver messaging through different internal communications channels. Suggest new ways of deploying Visa volunteering practices externally with key stakeholders (like clients, merchant, NGOs).

  • Participate as an advisor on and help implement effective CEMEA-wide and regional employee engagement programs and events.

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Individual is regarded as a key contributor in CEMEA CR team discussions and as a subject-matter expert for Governance, Volunteering, Social Impact.

  • Regular and timely internal reports and processes being followed

  • Awareness and participation of volunteering initiatives at Visa, across all markets has increased and maintained at a good rate as well as well-informed leadership (Volunteering Scorecard Indicators: number of hours, number of people engaged, volunteering platform, leadership feedback)

  • CR is regarded as an active and value-add player in function operations.

  • High contributor for better/more effective cross-regional cooperation and reporting.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Masters in Science, Economics, Social

  • 3+ years experience in communications/marketing in corporate/agency.

  • Work effectively under pressure in a deadline-sensitive, multi-tasking environment. Active collaborator and contributor to a team, with the ability to work independently and initiate projects proactively. Thorough yet efficient project management, time-management and organizational skills

  • Excellent creative, written and verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences. Focus on details.
