Job Description

What's it all about?

Running European payrolls in a fast and growing market, the role requires the ability to work with the growth and maintain accuracy throughout. There is a team of 3 payroll analysts who manage the day to day running of the payroll overseen by a payroll manager. The candidate will get exposure to 27 countries payrolls, legislation and requirements as well as project work to increase knowledge and development.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Prepares UK and non-UK payrolls for submission to external payroll providers (27 countries across Europe)
  • Liaises with 3rd parties, for example with payroll providers for queries on payroll, PWC and EY for tax assistance and HMRC
  • Responding to employee queries regarding payroll in a timely and accurate manner
  • Creates issues reports and circulates to HR teams and co-ordinates response
  • Performs manual payroll calculations and makes supplier payments
  • Provides month end reports for pension providers, external and internal stakeholders
  • Shares specialist payroll knowledge with HR and legal teams
  • Capable of auditing payroll output and approving payruns
  • Ability to run all payrolls unassisted
  • Assist with internal and external Payroll audits

Qualifications

What we're after...

  • Sound experience of processing UK and European payrolls including France
  • Good understanding payroll processes and procedures
  • Good knowledge of Excel and data manipulation and excellent numerical skills (vlookup, pivot tables etc)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to deal with personal and sensitive issues
  • Knowledge of data protection principles
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects to timely completion
  • French speaking desired
  • Studying towards a relevant professional qualification (i.e. CIPP) is desirable
