Job Description

The Product Analyst, Consumer Credit will be a member of the Product and Strategy team that is responsible for shaping the organization’s product strategies as well as the development and rollout of Visa’s product solutions in the Canadian marketplace. The team also works collaboratively with issuing and acquiring clients to support product launches and innovations. 

This position is based in Toronto and will report to the Senior Director, Consumer Credit & Loyalty Products. This individual will work closely with the full consumer credit team while also collaborating across functional areas: Marketing, Sales, Legal, and Operations. This individual will focus on developing and managing day-to-day activities within the existing credit products (Visa Classic/Gold/Platinum, Visa Infinite and Visa Infinite Privilege) and support the development, launch and implementation of strategies, products and initiatives that drive further consumer credit growth for Visa Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert for all consumer credit product rules and requirements

  • Support launch of new credit products alongside other Visa teams from initial recommendation to in-market product launch and ongoing product performance tracking

  • Document business requirements and lead ongoing project management for platform upgrades

  • Analyze and support underlying product capabilities – card reports, data files, billing, etc.

  • Support the development of consumer credit research and analytics to assess market opportunities and provide insight on market and product trends / developments

  • Support issuers and internal teams with credit value proposition insight and benchmarking

  • Contribute to the development of new services and benefits for cardholders and issuers

  • Work alongside the Director, Consumer Credit to support the development of annual plans and the long term consumer credit strategy in the Canadian market

  • Collaborate with the benefits and marketing teams on the go-to-market strategy to launch and promote new benefits and product related marketing campaigns

Secondary

  • Track all key KPIs and measurements against product growth metrics
  • Support the consumer credit team in reporting, business tracking and competitive reviews
  • Deliver reporting and forecasting at the product level for all credit segments (eg. Affluent)

  • Support with management, tracking and forecasting of operating budget and revenues

  • Assist in the development of client presentations and reports to provide updates and insights on product performance and opportunities

Qualifications

 

  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience ideally at a financial institution, payment network, consulting, technology, data/research or digital company
  • Ability to write product and business requirements including comprehensive use cases

  • Strong detail orientation ensuring the highest level of rigor in reporting and data analysis

  • Proven ability to generate insights from data and craft a compelling presentation storyline

  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, results-oriented individual

  • Ability to progress multiple priorities concurrently

  • Evidence of digital mindset and familiarity with digital deployments (APIs, SDKs, etc.)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

  • Highly developed written skills to deliver concise emails and compelling presentations

  • Flexibility in the face of changing priorities and demanding clients

  • Excellent professional-level power point skills to craft compelling data oriented presentations
