Job Description

Reporting to the SVP and Head of Product Delivery at Visa, this position is responsible for executing a 12-24 month workforce transformation to improve the overall effectiveness of the product organization and transform a diverse, growing and evolving organization into a well-run, cohesive team. 

This position is responsible for driving the implementation of new job families, competencies and learning tracks and has equal accountability to the Human Resources organization.  The individual must be able to engage and challenge diverse audience, identify and prioritize actions, and navigate the highly-matrixed global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take accountability for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering workforce initiatives often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners

  • Design and deliver stakeholder communications

  • Create and maintain the overall workforce roadmap as a critical part of the transformation roadmap

  • Work with GP&S leaders to deconstruct issues, developing solutions, assigning accountability, and following through to conclusion

  • Bring ideas and structure to problems using experience

  • Provide thought leadership by bring new ideas and solutions to achieve objectives

  • Independently frame issues, develop recommendations, and advocate for decisions in a fact-based manner in presentations to senior leadership teams

  • Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders; represent the project in various project governance and inter-department forums and publishes periodic project status reports

Qualifications

  • Business degree, MBA preferred
  • Experience in workforce planning and transformation in software or related business, preferably in the product organization

  • 8+ years of accelerated professional growth in leading companies, with a track record of increasing levels of responsibility and accomplishments

  • Reputation as a thought leader able to advocate a point of view, consider alternatives, and move the group to a decisive conclusion

  • Experience establishing, leading and successfully completing workforce transformative efforts that lead to measurable results.

  • Track record of being given responsibility for driving organizational change and guiding cross functional teams

  • Established reputation for building peer like relationships with leaders in a large, complex organization, and being able to communicate and influence groups with highly developed communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives at once in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.  Calm under pressure and comfort with problem solving ambiguity

  • Demonstrates high empathy and employee-centric view of change

  • Demonstrated ability to build momentum for change and carrying the team across the finish line in making it happen.
