What’s it all about?

At Visa we make venture investments in businesses to cement commercial partnerships. The Visa Venture team in Europe drives venture partnerships to expand our network and drive greater value for our clients and partners. This includes partnerships that can differentiate existing services & solutions; support new service and solution development; drive distribution and adoption of Visa services; and accelerate businesses to deliver new market opportunities.

The Venture Manager will be an integral member of the European team supporting the identification, delivery and management of venture backed digital partnerships. This role will involve coordinating and preparing for investment committees, engaging with the broader start-up community, building relationships with early stage business and supporting partnerships by engaging with internal team as necessary to model, agree and execute venture deals.

What we expect of you, day to day.

This role will manage our overall deal pipeline to supporting prioritisation, sequencing and reporting of potential deals and for our portfolio of investments supporting our venture companies, as well as tracking and reporting the value delivered.

Critical to the role is building strong relationships with emerging businesses that can deliver strategic value to Visa this will involve supporting start-up community engagement, developing sector investment hypothesis, conducting opportunity filtering and deal execution.

Coordinating and preparing for deal reviews, investment sponsor meetings and governance committees will also be required.

What we’re after…

• Ideally be educated to degree level, or have directly relevant industry training/education 
• Likely to have worked in a consultancy, venture finance or other enterprise development roles
• Experience of working with, or in, start-up businesses
• Strong analytical skills
