Job Description

Visa’s consumer product architecture team imagines and builds the APIs and services that power the next generation of connected cards. Accounts who’s features, rewards and benefits evolve with the lifestages and financial needs of cardholders. We also power alerts services and personal card controls that empower visa cardholders to dynamically manage their transactions and where their accounts can be used. As product manager, you will be learning how to support, develop and enhance these services used by some of the largest banks in the world as well as by emerging fintech players and challenger banks.

On a day-to-day basis, you will detail business requirements user stories for product enhancements with focus on data driven product feature prioritization, quality and time to market. You will be responsible for acceptance of product enhancements across stakeholders through demos, user acceptance testing, training, business process definitions and robust requirement and timeline management.

The product manager role requires the candidate to be comfortable with supporting the product user community, triaging and owning any product related operational issues, to have an aptitude and desire to be very hands on with data and reporting, modern webservice development and UI/UX design. You should be able to work across cross functional and global product and engineering teams and must be comfortable reviewing high level system architecture to develop scalable product solutions. You have a “product ownership” attitude and be ready to do whatever it takes to integrate teams together for product launch and support.

  • Familiar with software service development and modern, restful API design practices
  • Technical Degree in CS/Engineering or demonstrated equivalent technical expertise through past work experience or personal projects
  • Previous experience in any related field such as: SaaS services, fintech, banking services/payments, mobile banking apps, card issuing/processing, or payment networks a plus
  • Empathetic, and mindful of not just your perspective but also what matters to customers, stakeholders and partner teams when communicating and doing product work
  • Excited to work on apis and services that elevate the daily experience of Visa card products used by billions of people around the world

    • Engaging with cross functional engineering teams to determine the best technical solution and implementation timelines for delivering quality products to market
    • Sprint planning and grooming of user story backlog
    • Designing user experience for customer facing product and building mockup for product ideas

    • Writing simple database queries
