Job Description

Position Summary

This role will manage communications for Cybersecurity, and will have a number of key areas of responsibility building and implementing Cybersecurity communications strategies for various programs, including employee and stakeholder communications, executive outreach, and awareness and training

This position will frequently interact with senior, internal, and cross-functional teams, as well as manage Cybersecurity initiative work through vendors and design teams. In addition, the employee engagement focus of this role will embrace our mission to attract and retain top talent in the industry by demonstrating true leadership skills, inspiring others, building strong relationships, and creating pride of association.

 

Responsibilities

  • Building and executing on the communication plan and framework to enhance awareness and knowledge at all levels of the Cybersecurity organization

  • Overseeing all communication vehicles and content to internal stakeholders, plan owners and executives, as well as other business partners

  • Collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders, such as Technology Leadership Team (TLT) groups, corporate relations, human resources, and business operations

  • Developing long-term strategies and key initiatives, including promoting and achieving a culture of departmental service excellence and employee engagement

  • Working with leadership and management to develop strategies and demonstrable links between staff engagement and internal organization goals

  • Developing and driving employee experience action plans

  • Overseeing communications for and assisting in the overall production of employee experience events (including Cybersecurity educational and training sessions, staff meetings, leadership events, and employee resource groups)

  • Managing all internal communications and related program materials using internal branding, such as newsletters, Chatter, e-blasts and other internal channels for the purpose of communicating engagement information to employees

  • Creating an annual communication plan and provide content for various communication channels

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have strong leadership capabilities and demonstrate the ability to influence and communicate effectively across functional lines to ensure all participants and stakeholders deliver according to requirements and schedule. He or she must have a high level of self-motivation and initiative and be able to operate effectively as a team player across multiple Cybersecurity pillars.

In addition, preferred candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or English

  • 10+ years of success in progressive leadership roles

  • Experience working in partnership with leaders and colleagues to drive results; experience interacting with all levels of management/staff and across organizational lines; knowledge of cybersecurity and technology field in a global environment

  • Excellent influencing, leadership, communications skills; experience presenting to different audiences verbally, in writing and in presentation formats

  • Strong communications background, including online and social media experience

  • Excellent and proven verbal and written communication skills, including managing with influence and having a strong presence and solid presentation skills

  • Ability to produce high-impact communication artifacts, including executive level presentations, talking points, newsletters, memos, reports

  • Strong interpersonal and indirect influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of individuals at various organizational levels

  • Excellent judgment with a high attention to detail

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing, and high-pressured environment

  • Experience working with detailed information and numerical data and presenting it in a way that is easily understood by people at different levels in the organization
