Job Description

Visa University is changing the learning culture at Visa and is becoming an integral part of life at the Company where every employee and client will have access to a wealth of resources to enhance their effectiveness.

We are a team of experts in our respective disciplines, but more importantly, we strive to harness our collective expertise in the most effective way for the benefit of learners.

  • This role will initially be responsible for developing the strategy and structure for Visa’s in-market delivery of internal and external learning solutions. As the first global head of markets, this role will be responsible for instilling the skills and capabilities of being a true business partner to regions and markets.
  • As a member of the learning leadership team, this role will have oversight to ensure effective delivery of Visa University’s growing suite of enterprise learning solutions. This includes our internal professional and leadership development curriculum, as well as an expansive list of offerings of external content for clients aimed at educating our partners on the fundamental and intricate aspects of operating one of the world’s largest and most successful technology platforms.
  • This role will oversee a team of ~40 individuals made up of regional CLOs/heads of learning and education consultants. This leader will guide our regional CLOs in the appropriate alignment across regions of development and knowledge sharing of regional specific solutions as required. This role will also ensure consistency in world-class delivery of our global curriculum through the development of an education and development program for our learning consultants. They will also establish an appropriate dashboard of metrics to measure the success of our internal and external delivery engagements.
  • With the increasing opportunity to create value to and revenue from Visa’s clients, this role will also be responsible for the development of a sales and revenue generation model for our education offerings in markets. This model and resources will be used by our business development team, in partnership with our education consultants, to further deepen our partnership with clients and deliver value added revenue for Visa. The role with work closely with business development and the head of our external college to improve offerings and services that meet the needs of our clients.
  • The success in delivering internal learning experience will require a close collaboration with our CHRO, Talent leaders and regional HR leaders in both needs analysis and in market delivery for capabilities required and aligned to our business strategy. This role will work closely with the global head of Colleges on needs assessment and prioritization of global products. They will work closely with in-market resources to obtain learning solutions not available from the Global Colleges.
  • In its role delivering external content, collaboration will be critical with Regional Presidents, GCM’s and regional BPO leaders in a similar needs analysis and delivery of offerings aligned to growth strategies which create value for diverse and varied clients in market.
     

Qualifications

 

  • Experience working in a high growth, global organization, ideally in roles spanning both headquarters and in market
  • Preferably experience in the payments or related industry, with a strong background on current and emerging payment capabilities and technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams in a matrixed environment
  • Experience in a business partner role in Learning, Talent, or HR
  • Proven results successfully leading and managing complex business transformation, change management, while maintaining business continuity
  • Understanding of:
    • sales lifecycle and client relationship management
    • the intersection of talent management with learning and development strategy
  • Executive presence; strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Team player, willing to be transparent with peers and management on activities and requirements, and pick up “between the cracks” as needed
  • Entrepreneurial and growth mindset
  • Undergraduate degree required, masters and related Training/HR certification preferred
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in a leadership role in a related corporate function
