Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting delivery of Visa’s regulatory compliance programmes in Europe. The role sits within the Europe Enterprise Risk Management function and is accountable to the Head of Regulatory Compliance.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Supports Visa’s delivery of the Regulatory Compliance programme in Europe.

  • Responsible for responding to regulatory compliance requirements and ensuring timely delivery to Visa supervisory bodies in Europe. Including business as usual reporting, responses to ad hoc regulatory requests and supporting self-assessments.

  • Liaises across Visa to ensure regulatory compliance obligations are understood consistently across all functions and is taken into account when implementing any change to current systems and processes.

  • Provides effective second line of defence challenge and influences as required.

  • Supports the Head of Regulatory Compliance and Lead role in day-to-day operations including the production of management reporting.

  • Monitors changes to industry and regularity requirements and ensures that these are accounted for within the regulatory compliance programme.



  • Knowledge of the payment services industry, preferably some understanding of Financial Market Infrastructure oversight of Visa in Europe.

  • Degree educated or other appropriate risk management, compliance qualification.

  • Experience of supporting regulatory compliance deliverables including compliance self-assessments and/or reporting.

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, or other appropriate risk management, compliance qualification.

  • Flexible and adaptable approach, displaying a willingness to learn and take on new things.

  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with and influence stakeholders across the company.
