The successful candidate will be playing a key role in the VISA Resolve Online Test Engineering team's automation and performance engineering. This is position will be responsible in delivering technical solutions for various application testing needs. This position will develop and will maintain automated & performance testing suite that verifies if VROL application meets expected functionality and performance SLAs.
- Drive continuous improvement around processes and technical capabilities
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts and ensure delivery of quality test artifacts
Ensuring that testing and test activities comply with corporate policies and adhere to industry best practices
Understand cross-functional dependencies and collaborate with other teams to meet end-to-end quality objectives
Be accountable for tactical day to day execution including scheduling, test planning, execution,
and risk management.
Foster partnerships with upstream and downstream teams including system analysts, architects, developers, and product owners or clients to ensure alignment and consistency in reducing product risk throughout the SDLC.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant technical discipline
required. Master degree a preference
At least 5 years of software test experience, preferably in Electronic Payments
Strong understanding of software development and test engineering processes and methodologies
Strong Analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of Build tools like GIT
Strong knowledge of database query tools like DB2, MySQL and ability to write and run complexqueries for data validation
Ability to deliver results on multiple projects in a complex and fast-moving environment
Ability to generate creative and innovative solutions for test challenges and constraints
Solid understanding of black box and white box testing, performance testing, test automation,
requirements traceability and general test process reporting
Experience in using industry standard test management tools (e.g. ALM / Quality Center, Clear Quest, JIRA).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, client service and
Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time effectively and efficiently
Ability to multi task and handle multiple competing priorities with minimal direction from management
Has strong sense of teamwork
Experience in Java scripting language and Selenium WebDriver preferred
At least 2+ years of experience in test automation and able to develop and maintain test scripts preferred
Strong knowledge of web services testing using automation tools such SoapUI and JASON preferred
Experience is software or tools development preferred
Experience in testing below is added advantage: 1. Mainframe. 2. ETL
