Job Description

The Data Product Development division is part of the Visa’s technology organization. The division is responsible for providing value added product and services to our clients and for internal use. The client access to these services are enabled through a set of Data API, BI and Analytics products, Custom applications, Data Streaming & Visualization . The data access is enabled via Web, Mobile and Web services.

Responsibilities:
The role is a self-organized Staff SW Engineer with a solid background in implementing substantial applications both Web/Mobile and Web Services supporting large numbers of users and applications. Architecture, design & development of various data products and services and the end to end implementation of these services. The data services developed using Java/J2EE and messaging technologies.

  • Design and develop common portal interfacing multiple products and services
  • Design and develop BI Products as web/mobile interfaces
  • Design and Develop Web Services as BI and Analytic products
  • Data management services
  • Web Visualization and Real-time Streaming Services
  • Develop framework for the roll out of new BI and Analytics products by integrating with various BI and Visualization tools
  • Develop Security & integration components for data extraction, & internal /external application integration

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • S / MS in Computer Science, or Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Web developing using J2EE Web
  •  Experience in building Visualization & Streaming applications
  •  Development experience in a Cross-platform, multi-tier environment
  •  Solid understanding in Java and algorithm
  • Open source framework experience such as Spring, Angular 2, React, WebGL, JQuery, D3, Node.js, Docker, etc.
  • Web & Web Service development experience using Java/J2EE
  • Relational database and SQL development experience
  •  Experience in Microstrategy  customization and Microstrategy SDK.
  •  Working knowledge of CI/CD
  • Agile development experience
  • Test Automation and Continuous integration using GIT, Stash, Jenkins, Bamboo
  • Experience using version control (GIT) and bug tracking (Jira) tools
  • Location based services using Google Map, ESRI, Trillium, etc is a plus.
  • Big Data Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Python experience is a plus
