Job Description

If you think you could support Visa as a Compliance Manager, we want to hear from you – together, let’s make Visa a great place to work.

What’s it all about?

The purpose of this role is to provide compliance in European Technology and Operations – Internal, External, and Regulatory oversight, Audit, Risk Management, and Self-Assessment Quality Audits – to ensure ongoing protection for the delivery of technology to Visa’s European Business

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Provide the challenge to First Line of Defence Technology teams, in order to ensure conformance to Regulatory, Audit, and Risk compliance requirements
  • Partner with other First Line of Defence teams, within and beyond Technology, to identify and quantify risks and issues; then identify and initiate best practice opportunities to mitigate or remediate them
  • Collaborate with Regulatory, Risk, and Audit teams to fulfil operational governance requirements on behalf of Visa in Europe, and in accordance with Second and Third Lines of Defence
  • Provide oversight of First Line of Defence teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of compliance activities within Europe and Globally; including process effectiveness assessments to ensure revised standards are maintained, and that “near misses” are resolved in order to avoid future issues
  • Where local, gather and interrogate compliance evidence and artefacts, scrutinising to ensure validity, then resolving potential issues prior to submission, thus pre-empting and preventing incorrect conclusions
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all products and operational processes that have a bearing on Europe
  • Analyse compliance data and apply understanding to produce meaningful, timely and accurate reporting; adopting a level of content and language appropriate to the audience
  • Engage and communicate with a range of stakeholders to ensure all compliance activities are supported, promoting best practice and the benefit of effective controls, in order to solve or prevent non-compliance

The role should exhibit the appropriate level of Visa Leadership Principles:

  • Lead by Example (be accountable for Technology’s compliance in Europe)
  • Communicate Openly (communicate clearly and effectively)
  • Enable and Inspire (remove barriers and ensure there is no duplication of effort)
  • Excel with Partners (build strong relationships)
  • Act Decisively (challenge the status quo)
  • Collaborate (work across Technology Lanes to represent Technology in Europe)
  • Role model Visa leadership principles

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience
  • Specialist in-depth expertise of audit, compliance, and risk management, including but not limited to ISAE3402, ISO20000, PCI-DSS, COSO, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent assessment methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
