Job Description

What's it all about?

Responsible for actively managing the relationship with a Signature Client, to promote and secure use of Visa Europe products and services.

Responsible for driving sales and development across the business in our UK & Ireland market. By building deep partnerships with our clients, opening up access and offering creative solutions with a strong focus on developing the Credit and Debit segments.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Support the Credit & Debit portfolio for a Signature Account, ensuring client is provided appropriate support from Visa

  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives

  • Work alongside clients, liaising with multiple stakeholders with the aim of growing the business through collaboration, building quality, deepen relationships

  • Monitor and analyse the performance of client accounts, suggesting ways to develop existing business, improve performance and grow volume.

  • Help identify client opportunities for new products/services enabling business improvement and growth in line with the clients’ business objectives and priorities

  • Engage with colleagues across Visa, ensuring teams such as marketing, products, merchant & acquirers innovation, operations and consulting are appropriately involved and informed about client opportunities and issues, endeavouring to break down silos and work together as “One Visa”

  • Support in market development activities and initiatives to further Visa’s objectives and targets in the market

  • Support cross functional initiatives as required

  • Work independently with guidance in the most complex situations

  • Communicate complex issues and influences others internally and externally to take a different viewpoint

  • Directly advising and influencing within team

Qualifications

What we're after...

  • The role-holder will possess a mixture of outstanding technical skills, a strategic outlook and the ability to interact with a range of stakeholders across all levels, functions and geographies
  • Significant knowledge of Open Banking and digital payments 
  • Proven international payments experience 
  • Strong understanding of Visa’s business (four party model, rules, pricing, products, sales) processes 
  • Strong commercial acumen; understands the economics of client’s business and how authentication products can impact a client’s P&L as well as the commercial drivers of Visa’s business
  • Broad knowledge about Visa Europe and its products and services
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced global matrix organization.
  • Ability to build deep relationships at senior levels within the organization and navigate complex structures.
  • Be commercially focused and pragmatic with the aptitude to identify new opportunities and proactively propose solutions
  • Able to work against set deadlines
  • Effective levels of interactive communication internally and externally
  • Broad and comprehensive knowledge of Visa Europe and its products and services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills
  • Be a self-motivated employee who can work alone and in a team
