Job Description

What’s it all about?

The Senior Manager - Marketing and Analytics is part of the Marketing Analytics team within the Marketing function. The Marketing Analytics team is responsible for delivering actionable learnings and insights to improve marketing outcomes and effectiveness. We apply analytic and data mining techniques to measure the impact of marketing on business outcomes, determine what worked and did not, predict and forecast potential outcomes, and advise on optimal strategy/channel mix to drive highest return on objective. You will join a team of highly skilled statistical modeling experts with solid business experience and technical knowledge in applying advanced marketing analytics and modeling techniques to measure, improve and predict the effectiveness of marketing.
 

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • You will build and update marketing media mix econometric models to determine overall marketing ROI and ROIs at strategy, campaign and media channel level. You will own the entire modeling process from data collection, validation to data transformation, model build/update, results analyses, insights development, and results/key findings presentation

  • Collaborate with country marketing teams and agency partners to fully understand campaign executions, ROI measurement requirements and explore results implications

  • Deeply involve in annual marketing budget planning by running different spend allocation scenarios, optimizing return and forecasting revenue impact

  • Analyze marketing campaign performance to explain what happened and why. Provide insights to help improve campaign executions

  • Test different analytic/modeling approaches to keep improving accuracy of ROI measurement and ways to better measure granular media execution tactics

  • Help drive and maintain global consistency in reporting, analyses and results interpretation

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Bachelor degree in quantitative field or the equivalent professional experience; MBA/MS or Ph.D. in Statistics, Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred (or the equivalent)

  • Proven marketing analytics experience in a highly analytical environment

  • Highly proficient in econometric and statistical modeling techniques such as multivariate multiple regression, factor analysis, logistic regression, Bayesian Choice modeling and conjoint analysis, etc.

  • Hands on experience in building statistical models in SAS environment; expert in SAS programming and/or R

  • Experience analysing marketing campaigns and conducting ROI analysis  

  • Media experience preferred

  • High proficiency in as many of the following: SAS, SPSS, R, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Hadoop

  • Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, including the ability to translate analyses into easily digestible stories for senior management

  • Strong work ethic and organisational skills
