Client Services (CS) provides industry-leading operational support to Visa’s clients around the world. With our deep knowledge and expertise, we are a key internal partner to product and technology, bringing the voice of the customer into the design, development and successful deployment of Visa products and services. In addition to supporting client implementation of Visa products and services globally, CS is also responsible for a host of critical services that support the broader Visa organization and clients, including: Visa Rules management, cardholder disputes, compliance, client testing and configuration, and client tools. The team also provides support for Visa’s DPS,  CyberSource and Authorize.net businesses. Across time zones and borders, we provide clients with a comprehensive set of services including on-behalf-of contact center support to the end consumer and merchant. We are trusted partners to Visa’s clients, providing expertise to support and successfully grow their business.

Job Description

The Global Business Optimization team has a simple mission: we turn massive amounts of data – over 3 billion cards and 100 billion transactions annually – into actionable insights that drive business value.  Our analytic consultants and data analysts work with Visa’s clients and staff to improve portfolio performance, program profitability and cardholder experiences around the world.  By coupling in-depth analysis of portfolio behavior with Visa’s world-class products, digital offerings and marketing capabilities, we ensure our clients’ programs operate at their peak potential and that cardholders have seamless commerce experiences in both the physical and digital world.

You will be a member of a global team with responsibility for helping our regional teams reach their maximum potential.  You will collaborate closely with our regional leaders and their teams to ensure their expertise can be leveraged seamlessly by colleagues around the globe.  You will also be responsible for ensuring our communications to colleagues inside and out of GBO, as well as to our executive leaders, are consistently on-point.  This requires the ability to quickly understand strategic priorities and translate them into elegant and effective communications.  In summary, you will act as a force multiplier, enabling everyone in GBO, from new analysts to team leaders, to perform their jobs more effectively than they could alone.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilites include:

  • Making GBO smarter and more effective by partnering with regional experts to understand and document our best practices for optimizing how Visa’s products should work
  • Creating and maintaining an appropriate forum (e.g. MS Teams, Chatter) for our team members around the globe to access these best practices
  • Documenting and championing methodologies for calculating and quantifying potential optimization impact and realized value
  • Developing and managing an internal communications cadence to build team engagement and ensure that our team members around the globe are strategically and tactically aligned
  • Developing and maintaining a consistent framework for monitoring the performance and top projects or priorities for our regional teams
  • Partnering with the GBO leadership team to prepare and present monthly business reviews to functional executives
  • Creating, publishing, and sharing content – in partnership with our colleagues from across Visa – representing GBO’s perspective on how the use of Visa’s products can be optimized

Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified, including
    • 8+ years of success in progressively more challenging roles
    • 4+ years of payment industry experience
  • Possess a results-driven mindset and a passion for building the capabilities of others
  • You must be able to quickly understand the core drivers of complex, data-driven products and translate them to audiences of varying degrees of payments industry experience
  • A strong conceptual understanding of relational data and analytical problem-solving methodologies
  • The ability to connect the dots between Visa’s data, Visa’s products, and Visa’s business
  • Extremely strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills – you will consistently connect numerous and varied projects to a single, precise message
  • Able to set priorities with and manage the expectation of senior and junior stakeholders
  • Experience with collaboration tools, such as MS Teams, Confluence, or Bitbucket, are nice to have
  • A 4 year college degree in a quantitative field; advanced quantitative or business degree is highly desirable
