Job Description

The Head of Global Mobility is responsible for the design, development, evolution and management of Visa’s global mobility program ensuring the program fully supports Visa’s talent acquisition and talent management initiatives.  At Visa, the global mobility function includes international and domestic assignments, one-way domestic and international relocations and global immigration.  Leading a team of global mobility professionals, this person is responsible for managing and engaging the team to ensure a high level of service with a key focus on employee experience.  Additionally, this person is responsible for all program compliance responsibilities, supplier partner management and ensuring the program meets the needs of our businesses and stakeholders.  The ideal candidate should have a pulse on market practices and be considered an industry thought leader with a network of contacts across the global mobility industry.

 

At Visa, everyone is a leader and for this role, you will:

  • Drive the global mobility strategy by developing innovative solutions to meet immediate and long term business objectives

  • Lead a global mobility team by creating a culture of high performance and collaboration with a focused effort on people development and program execution

  • Provide strategic direction and consulting on global mobility to key stakeholders which include, but are not limited to, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Global Payroll, Finance and business leaders

  • Manage the strategic business partnerships with key supplier partners (relocation management company, immigration counsel, tax services) to deliver quality benefits and service delivery while actively controlling program costs

  • Ensure program compliance in all areas – specifically, immigration, tax and payroll

  • Develop and deliver data analysis and insight on program activity, trends, costs and areas for action on a regular basis

  • Promote internal education by developing resources, marketing materials and communication plans to promote global mobility as a key part of the company’s talent strategy

  • Ensure escalations from candidates, employees and managers are resolved

Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of Global Mobility experience; additional experience working in different HR disciplines ideal

  • 5+ years hands-on experience leading global mobility programs with a strong focus on supplier management and program execution for a multi-national company

  • Proven capability to think strategically and develop a strategic vision and plans for program delivery

  • Ability to solve problems and resolve conflict through strong relationship management skills and cultural awareness in a truly global environment

  • Ability to translate the technical nature of mobility work (immigration, international taxation) for clear stakeholder understanding

  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to present to a wide array of audiences to inspire action

  • Ability to operate and influence in a highly matrixed and flexible environment.

  • Ability to leverage Global Mobility knowledge to influence talent strategy related to organizational and leadership development.

  • Strong customer service orientation and supplier management skills

  • Excellent organization and communication skills with great attention to detail while focusing on deadlines and managing concurrent high priority initiatives

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • GMS or CRP Certifications desired, but not required
